| Just to clear this up......I am not saying that West Bank are the only team any good, I am saying "Go Forward" ie, 2 good sides, a new purpose built ground and clubhouse, good recruitment etc.
I never meant to offend any of the other clubs out there but its clear that West Bank are too good for Div 2, but like I said, lets not get carried away because they still have to be promoted twice and then perform at the top level........or depending on what there committee decide they could apply for the National Conference as they have possibly the best setup in the NWC, they have numerous junior and youth teams that are are run very well, they have lots of volunteers to help out on matchdays whether its Saturday or Sunday and they have 2 good open age sides.
Hope this clears it up

they havent even entered the barla national cup, surely any aspirations of playing at a higher level youd expect a side to enter these competitions, to truly test themselves. dont get me wrong but the lancs cup is a second fiddle competition now that ncl teams only enter 2nd teams.

| They did get a couple of lads from Simmies yes, but its a culmination of a lot of things that has been the problems for Simmies this year.......we will bonce back tho folks.
As for them not entering the National Cup, I think its so they can concentrate on promotion, I dont think they want to risk that by gettting a daft draw up in Hull, Cumbria or Yorkshire and getting injuries that could hinder this, the less games you have to play the less chance of injuries.

i have no doubts simmies wont bounce back, theyre a cracking side that have done well for years. simmies are a side that have competed with the best. west bank have a long way to go to get anywhere near them or any other ncl/nwc prem side. the odd upset in the lancs cup doesnt mean to much, week in week out rugby league is what counts. good on them though for having ambition, but i still think playing against the best sides will make them better.

| We got 1 player from simmies all the other lads at the club av all come thru the youth setup so it's all been down to hard work from the club. We didn't enter the national because we want to secure are league and try and get to the perm division. As for saying the lancs cup is a second rate comp is a joke because all teams that enter want to win it and us and bank quay will be trying are best to win it. And the winner get into challenge cup round 1 and will be at home to seaton rangers so the competition is not that much of a joke is it.

| I agree mate, the Lancs Cup is not Second rate, and I for one will be there to cheers on West Bank.
The 2 players that signed from Simmies Were Shaun Macca last year and Nicky Fox this year, altho you could also say Dave Jones last year aswell!!

| Just to make my point clearer...Spring View, only re-established in 2004, bar last year have risen through the leagues from Div 6. Over the last couple of seasons we have had some real crackers with the likes of West Bank, only one of those games finishing with them beating us convincingley at our place last year, in fact 6 months previous we managed to beat them, however I have no doubt they are a much improved side....a side I have nothing but respect for.
We have our own purpose built club & pitch and this season have 2 open age sides all be it our second team are relying on friendlies until they can be entered next year, we are also well on our way to club mark with youth sides being set up starting up in the very near future to help us achieve club mark.
Considering that we are in Wigan and have the likes of St Pat's, St Judes, St Cuthberts, Ince Rose Bridge, Hindley on our doorstep, and all that has been achieved at SV over the last 6 years, I consider it abit of an insult for someone to say that we have no 'go forward'.
As would other clubs I suspect.

| I respect anyone's opinion, however its difficult to accept your's when its clearly based on a very limited knowledge of what is going on at allot of clubs that are thriving throughout NWC and NCL
