Both Merit League games, pleased to get 35 lads out on the field. Lots of new faces and both sides had a mix of some experienced lads and newcomers.
Felt with a bit more composure and nous we could have won both games (and a goalkicker!( but credit to Bamber and Salford. Two tough games played in the right way - not sure ref in first game would agree (7 sinbins and a red card!)'"
Very strange refereeing performance maybe he felt he had to prove himself after just becoming a super league touch judge but how there were 8 dismissals (4 each) in a game that was played tough but fair i don't know, there was some games in NWC that wouldn't have any players on the field if he took that stance every game, mind you he was p***** off that he had to travel from Wigan to do the game, a fact that he told me at least three times,lol,
Do you lads get double bubble points for yesterdays game then? can't be right can it? if so i might start playing two teams myself and double up players. |

Both games yesterday will count towards Merit League - we only arranged the Salford game at 8.30pm on Friday night after Ellesmere Port pulled out of their planned game with Salford.
