Any idea of the reason behind why they have withdrew? i know numbers are not everything but they seemed to have a decent size squad both times we played them, had an ok set up and some decent players, bet thier fines bill was a hefty one though!

Strange game for us against Hindpool last weekend, picked up the win which is always nice but the game lacked intensity, both teams wanted to throw the ball about which provided some good rugby from both sides, but on the other hand both sides would feel they could play a lot better as it was really scrappy game with too many mistakes.

Weren't Hilton Park formed from the double relegation and fall-outs at Leigh East? A lot of their squad were ex-Easts. Wonder if some of that has resurfaced. Shame, always good to see new amateur clubs.

Shame they couldnt keep going, i did have a little chuckle over the link above regarding the prop with the ban over his head, sure he came back from a ban for our game, then in that game he got sin binned, came back on then lasted 10 mins then got sent off! shame for them was he was a decent player when on the field.......

I'm not surprised with the feedback you got! both teams were not great just a decent 20 mins from ourselves seen us through, but as i said a wins a win. We have Culcheth away this Saturday, never played them before always nice to play a new team.

Decent enough side. Nothing spectacular but carry out the basics very well, tightly drilled. They'll also get in your faces and try and bully things, and like to throw high shots, elbows, knees etc, but I'm sure you fellas will handle that. Just make sure you don't react, in our first 2 games against them we had 4 sent off and 4 sin-bins, and we're far from being a dirty side.

Accrington are ok, when we went to thier place the pitch was very narrow and it suited thier game. They had a big prop who could shift when he got going and even put the odd kick in which a surprise to us!! and a decent scrum half which everything went through, i would expect bamber bridge to win this one..

Yeah we struggled badly for a season or two, half the squad ended up having to take jobs with 1-on 1-off Saturday shifts and we lost a few others for various reasons. One week we'd have 20 lads, the next barely 10. I remember the season we ended up not playing you boys at all...

Since the full summer switch we've recruited well and are running 2 teams this year. Work is still a big issue, and in summer weddings, holidays and things like music festivals but we've got big numbers even if many are novices and RU converts. All in all, going well.

Another good result for Culcheth against a determined Cadishead side, going into half time with a 28 point lead Culcheth lost some focus in the second half which became a bit scrappy.

hindpool 28-8 bamber bridge 8 awful performance from us shocking to my dropped balls esp in 2nd half gave them 3 quick trys in 1st half , no excuses that we had 8 players missing or coach was late the better team won on the day simple as that well played hindpool,also i liked to say sorry for the idiot who came with and coming on pitch at half time he embrassed our club and will not be coming again all best for rest of the season lads
