Can't see many games beatin the weather if this lot keeps up....word had it Leylands is a pretty rough track to start off with, I've never played there personally.

Stand out fixture this week has gotta be the pilks v irlam game....we could do with a pilks win!

Agree with the Golborne stuff but you have to say the league is at fault for not sorting the problem out sooner rather than leaving it this long.

Hopefully games will go ahead we've got to go to Hindpool and it costs enough to go up there so hopefully we won't have the problem of cancelling the coach and getting shafted for that, but we're all at the mercy of the weather so we'll see.

As for the Leyland pitch, it had about 3/4 big pools of standing water and that was a couple of weeks ago when the weather wasn't to bad, so I'd hate to see it now!!!!

I think we might be doomed then!....our seconds have a game this week, so at least i'll be able to have a look at them...fingers crosed though they can get it on! Been lucky upto now, with no postponements.

I know what you mean but tbh we had 9 players. We sometimes suffer due to 1st team requirements as we did on sat. why would we "poop it" when we have beaten you in 2 of the 3 fixtures we have had with you over the last few years??

Leyland's pitches were spiked last week and were in great nick at the weekend. Bit soft on the top inch but firm underneath. Just the small pond on the 40 metre line remained!

No one want games called off but big pat on backs to Hindpool for giving us plenty of notice that the game couldn't go ahead.

Seems I been a bit premature calling it off. it has hardly rained since I made the call and pitch is playable now. Should have had more faith in the new drains we had put in. Pretty disappointed now cos we had a full squad out for the first time this season.

Just found this thread and have to say that the ref for the Ulv v SV game was the worst referee I have ever seen at ANY level.

It is a good job the 2 sides have a mutual respect for each other and that the game was played in the best of spirits. Somebody would have seriously been hurt......and someone will definatley be seriously hurt if he officiates another game. Spoilt the game and allowed playersmouthing in his ear to influence his decisions...Poor !
