It was a good win for us, Leigh Miners are a very well organised side.

Both teams made quite a lot of errors and there was a high penalty count 20-odd - 13 in our favour I think.

They had a lad in sin bin as well, we had a lot of possession and territory in the final quarter and got 2 tries to seal it.

We have still not put together a very good 80 minutes but have won each game with bursts of tries. We have periods in every game where we can't complete and give away strings of penalties which needs sorting out or eventually it will cost us a game.

I think the main difference yesterday was the fact Leigh did it more than us! To be fair though I would rather be in this position than thinking we are playing really well but still getting beat.

Scrappy win for HfH over Haresfinch 20 28

We produced probably our best team performance of the season on Saturday, beat Rochdale Mayfield 50-6 scoring 10 tries and only conceding very late on.

Looks like it only me and you and posting pal. Shame cos I know the other teams in our division like to post.

A tough game in scorching conditions, we only had 14 men and no forwards on the bench, fair play to our lads a great effort even if we did almost lose it at the end!

That's a fine result to go there short of numbers in that heat, well done.

HFH - when we were in Division 1 the last 2 winter seasons I was always a bit jealous of the other divisions who had good threads with plenty of banter on here, maybe it will pick up as we really get going.

Don't worry, it usually picks up as the season progresses.

Oldham were very poor when they played us but at least they played it.

Yeh Pal it was....nearly four weeks now and its healed up well, hoping to be back playing in next couple of weeks. When u have only missed a couple of games in the last four years, missing two on the spin has been a killler....lads have shaped well though and we finally have 20+ players to select from!!
