| Simms Cross A 20 - 44 Blackbrook A
Excellent game today played how rugby should be played, hard and fair.
Blackbrook set off like a house on fire, using there massive and mobile pack to the best of its ability, scoring 22 points in the first 20 mins until Simmies got a score on the board, another 2 tries put Brook ahead 32-4 at half time.
The second half however was a different story with Simmies playing some good rugby and keeping Brook at bay with some excellent defensive work, but as in the first half they used there assets to the best of there ability and put more points on the board, to there credit Simmies NEVER stopped battling and scored 16 points in the second half.
One of the Blackbrook lads said at full-time......that was a really good win because not many teams will come to Simmies and beat them, I have to add that not many, if any sides in that Div 6 will beat Blackbrook if that team that turned up today turns up every week.
Well done to all the lads that played for both sides today

| Ashton Bears A 18-0 Irlam Hornets A.
Irlam rang at mid-day to say they couldn't raise a team.

| Chester 58 - 25 Fitton Hill
A good game of Rugby League between these two sides, Chester raced into a early lead 12-0 before Fitton Hill's Scrum half tried a chip through that went throuhg the posts and registered as a drop goal.
Chester played some good free-flowing Rugby and ran in 10 tries throughout the afternoon for the second time this season.

| Accrington Panthers -v- Ashton Bears A
Blackbrook A -v- Little Hulton
Fitton Hill -v- Culcheth
Irlam Hornets A -v- Folly Lane A
Leigh East A -v- Chester
Rochdale Cobras A -v- Blackpool Scorpions A
Widnes West Bank A -v- Halton Simms Cross A
Accrington v Ashton should be a close game with Accrington just shading.
Blackbrook should have a fairly easy win against Little hulton not seen Brook play yet, but looking at their results they look like the team to beat along with Widnes West Bank.
I think Culcheth will have more than enough to get past Fitton Hill.
Us (Folly) against Irlam, will be a lot tighter than some people might think Irlam will be up for with it being a local derby, but we should have too much for them.
Chester have ran in some points so far this season, but you can never bet against Leigh East A, they're a funny team will get stuffed one week then win by a cricket score the next, Chester should get past them though.
Cobras should beat Blackpool.
Widnes West bank will be favourites, but simmies aren't as bad as their league position suggests, they played some good stuff against us in the first game we unfortunately lost 44-34 so they can score points, but Ill say West Bank just because of their strong start.

| The East 3rd team have probably not had the same 17 play in two consecutive weeks since we started! With lads moving up to the firsts and seconds, it's probably always going to be that way. But that is a good thing. This year we've been "blooding" some of the Under 17's and 18's into the delights of open age rugby (in fact, so have the 1st and 2nd team due to injuries and lads away on tours etc). But like you say, sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn't.
Looking forward to welcoming Chester to Ledgard Avenue on Saturday. Hopefully we'll be able to catch the last 30 minutes of the 1st v Bradford Dudley Hill match on the main pitch.

| Looking forward to visiting Leigh East this weekend real highlight in the development of Rugby League in Chester to visit such a famous amateur club and we will have to be on top form to get any kind of result. We have a few lads missing from our normal first team due to injuries but still have a good strong squad available for us to choose from and it will be a good test for some of our new players.
Also hoping to catch some of their first team game!!
As for the other games I think Accrington will prove difficult to beat at home this season and will be a real test for the impressive Ashton.
I think Fitton Hill are improving each week and their experienced half backs could cause Culceth a few problems.
Irlam were poor against us but I think all sides are different at home and espiecially in a derby so that should be a fiesty affair. I wouldn't like to call as I haven't seen Folly lane but when I was younger they were always a strong team regardless of the first or second team!
I expect Rochdale to beat Blackpool so long as their first don't pinch all their squad!
West Bank are another impressive outfit very well drilled but again another derby so should be a cracking game

| Ashton Bears A 26-4 Accrington Panthers.
A good game in which Ashton took a stanglehold of and didn't lose their grip. Accrington worked hard and caused Ashton some problems but ultimately Ashton were always in control. Another game plated in the right spirit despite some confusing decisions from the official, both sides will learn from the experience (probably best left as that!).

A game in which we totally dominated in all honestly, full credit to Irlam who never stopped trying though.

| Some tough fixtures to call this week
Ashton Bears A v Blackbrook A - Tasty game both sides doing well with Ashton taking top spot last week as Blackbrook didn't play as they are at home I will give Ashton the win.
Blackpool Scorpions A v Chester - Interesting to see how we travel yet to get our first win on the road and Blackpool had a good win at Rochdale last week but I am thinking we may just shade it.
Culcheth v Leigh East A - If leigh east travel well they should be OK for the win in this game.
Folly Lane A v Accrington Panthers - Think Folly will have enough to see off a strong Accrington Side who seem to be like us (Chester) on the road!
Halton Simms Cross A v Fitton Hill - I think Fitton Hill will have to wait for another week for their first win
Little Hulton v Widnes West Bank A - following last weeks defeat I expect West Bank to bounce back with a convincing win on the road
Rochdale Cobras A v Irlam Hornets A - Once again so long as the first team don't pinch all the players I can see this being Rochdale's game to lose.
