WE (HIGGINSHAW) only asked to be dropped down coz we av lost 7 players to st annes this year an we cant use our under 18 side coz their coach wont let us, at this time we r lucky to still be goin an we r gonna struggle to get players to travel, its gonna be hard for everyone to travel in this league. Are you even gonna try and travel though? Didnt sound like it last week. One of your players said straight after the game you wont be going to Irlam next week because you had some bother last year and then said you wont be coming to Hindpool in a few months either, real kick in the teeth for us after we were given permission to call the game off if you agreed which you didnt (fair enough). We travelled with 12 players missing and spent £400 on a bus only to be told that you wont be coming to us.

Maybe you would be better off dropping out the league and joining the summer merit league.

We r gonna travel to yours and irlam just sayin we r in a bad way this season, there r 9 teams in oldham so gettin players is really hard but we had 17 training last night so hopefully the season is looking up and we will be able to travel. to say u had 12 out ur team did really well

We would have taken that result on the way down but after the game we were gutted that we didnt get something from it. Hard work picking a team this week as we should have about 10 returning which is great for me cos it means I wont have to play.

Think this league needs a review

We have asked not to be awarded the points and play Langworthy at the end of the season so long as we can play them at home 1st. At the end of the day all we wanna do is play games not be awarded 18-0s

hope thats not a dig at us cowies....the only reason we can't raise a team today is because most of the team are at a wedding, we have got a lengthy injury list, 2 players banned and the 17's & 18's that would normally step up if we're short are at the under 18's regional festival playing for salford service area today so simply haven't got the cover, at least we've been honest with hindpool and let them know in plenty of time that we can't raise a team....we should be back to normal next week with 25 pushing for a place in the squad, this saturday is just one of those days when everything seems to fall on the same day



good to hear hindpool are being sensible about the situation, could easily have snatched the 2 points...hope the league allow it to be a postponement rather than conceding as always enjoy a trip up to hindpool and always seems to be a tight game

To be honest its a dig at everything, the league know all of these things when they set the leagues up, the fact there are 3 teams from the north north west I think doesn't help matters, especially in lower league ammy rugby lts allot of expense and commitment for clubs, not to mention that in the first two months of the league it co-insides with a SL play off series angd GF, aswell as the usual holidays/wedding issues that the end of summer naturally brings.....not a dig at langworthy mate another thing you have to contest with is them playing service area games in saturdays, I thought youth and adult rugby where played on sat/sun for a reason, just think on game week 2 to potentially have 2 18-0 w/o is abit of a joke for whatever reason.
