| Let's hope they make a better job of deciding where teams should be put this time fingers crossed! What was division 2 like? Was every side turning up?

| Blackbrook and Woolston Rovers have made late applications to the NCL. There is also the possibility of the Barrow teams joining a Cumbrian League though this isn't confirmed. Most of the reserve teams were a shambles but it won't just be 1 up. Division 3 and 4 had the bulk of called off games but I think some sides (mainly reserve teams) called off in higher divisions. 3 teams called off 2 or 3 games in the premier division.

To be honest it wasnt to bad, we had 2 games conceded 1 by OSA, 1 by Rochdale, however we still played both teams in the reverse fixture.
We have struggled in the early parts of this year, which reflects on us finishing 5th to be honest, we travelled to bold with 13, and nearly came away with something, similarly at Latchford & Haresfinch away, went their with 14.
We conceded one game but in all fairness this was a fixture that was scheduled for a 6.30 Ko in early October at HFH....it was physically impossible for us to get a side to Widnes to Ko at that time.
All in all I think all the lads are happy with the season we have put together, and we have beaten most sides in the div barring HFH who we ran within a score of at our place. The run we have put together at the end of the year has been good to see....however when you have 18/19 lads turning up, its makes a difference.
To come off the back of the 2 massive years we have had winning NWC3 and then winning NWC2 I think this year was always going to be an anti climax, but its all credit to everyone involved at ours and every other club to back up from winter to summer, to train and to play now for over 12 months is nothing short of incredible.

| i think our div was the worst for 24 nils.ulvertson heysham and hindpool hardly played any home games as teams dnt want to travel that far,no if all of them are in the same league will they have the same problem again?? i heard at hindpool they had been approched to go in the cumbria league.
i hope the league look at it properly this year and get it right i mean what do teams think about all the a teams in 1 div?? overall i enjoyed the summer league

| The simple answer is to fine (heavily) those sides that do not turn up without good reason (not sure what can be deemed as a good reason). This will make teams think long and hard about applying for the league and will ensure only those that are serious do apply. 2 strikes and you are out with minimum notice to call a game off being the Monday prior to the fixture.
This will ensure a quality league with quality teams.....This is the RFL though so I doubt it will happen.

They've compromised and put most of the A teams in an all A team division 3 then spread the rest out between the other divisions.

| Fitton Hill and Cadishead Rhinos stands out (ignoring the A teams). Plus 3 of the premier division teams called off 2-3 games this year and have been left in place. They seem to have completely ignoring whether clubs fulfil fixtures or not which was the massive downside of the Rugby League Conference which became farcical by the end.
