Superb spirit from Chorley they came down with only 13 finished the game with 11 and a few more hobbleing around the pitch and they never complained. The went for 2 point on a penalty when it was 48-0 deep in the second and told us the come back was brewing at 48-2! Impressive run out for the tigers and with another 3 debutants the squad is getting stronger every week.

Well done Chorley, brilliant spirit. Big pats on back for turning up.

Wild boars 20 - 16 st cuthberts

Good hard game, should probably have scored more than 20 with all the possession and field position we had. Hats off to cuthies, never say die attitude made it a very close game right to the end. Should have been 22 as well but the ref has just seemed to discount one of our goals despite giving 3 out of 4 in the game!

Bury 8 - Rylands 58

Our injury situation in the forwards is just silly at the minute - about 8 out and everytime one comes back, we lose another! Just a couplem of our regular pack players in the 17 this weekend and both of them are carrying a notable injury each. On that basis, we're just happy to be completing fixtures and giving everyone a run out.

A great win for Newton again, Wigan kept coming at us and peppered our line for the last 5-10 minutes but we held out well, top defending with everyone working for eachother.

Looking at Cuthies result vs Wild Boar they will be quite confident, got a feeling its going to be our toughest game so far since Widnes. Cant Wait!

Good to see my old club Newton doing well.
