yeh we won 60-0 .. yeh orrell had a bare 13 players.. well done the all the orrell lads that played yesterday. can anybody tell how the orrell player that got injuried yesterday? during the brawl that seen 2 askam players sent off .. i would like to apolgise on behalf of the askam club. we not a fighting club we dont condone what happened yesterday and the lad that did that to the orrell players need to take a long hard look at himself because it just isnt rugby league the way i love this game..

i would also like to take this point to say how poor the referee was yesterday. that if he control the game the way he should control it would of esculted to what happened both team were niggling at eachother and the referee didnt control at all through out

Have the Askam players been arrested? Referee stopped at Hindpool after your game and said the police had been called. Will the Askam club be taking action against the players involved?

the police did come down to the club yesterday after the game and asked the player questions about the incident and said they were going up the hospital to ask the orrell lad if he was wanting to press charges. i havent heard anything since then. weather the club take action against him and couldnt tell you. judging by the reaction to the incident the club as a whole is deeply saddened that one of there players would do anything like that

the club would also like to point put the one of the 2 players that were sent off DIDN'T hit the orrell player in question. and that the police only wanted to talk to one of the players

They should have come to Hindpool later and arrested the referee for taking his match fee under false pretences

I never thought askam were like that in the 2 games we played against them they weren't dirty and didn't look like they were even like that.

speaking as a someone who part of the club. we not a dirty team. the referee didnt control the game and some of the lads felt that there were unsafe. that still doesnt condone what happened and the players involved aswell as the club will have to face the music now

The Latchford v Woolston game was a good local derby and we were very relieved to get the win. I was genuinely worried going into this game as we had a lot of players missing due to the MM weekend but the lads that came in did a good job. We were 12-0 up after 5 mins and then everything went downhill! Our loose forward was hit with a 3rd man in elbow that broke his cheekbone and he had to have a CT scan in hospital last night it was that bad - it wasnt even penalised though! That left me with 1 forward and 2 wingers on the bench for the remaining 75 mins which wasnt ideal and to make it worse we lost a prop on 50 mins!! but we pulled through despite being our own worst enemies with a ridiculous amount of silly errors. Credit to Latchford though, they knew they were in with a chance of turning us over this week and they played well. Another very tough game this week against HFH at home. Hopefully we should be nearer to full strength

Was it mellor who suffered the injury Clint. If it was he will be a big miss. All at west bank wish him a speedy recovery.
