They weren't a bad side to be honest,the ref just seemed to dislike them!!
We must have had 20 penalties in the 2nd half and at one point they were down to 11 men due to dissent

St Judes 20 - Bold Miners 32

We find ourselves 6-10 points down early in a lot of games, but on Friday night we raced to a 16-0 lead in about 10 minutes, Judes came back at us and stuck at it for the full 80. The opening really was the difference, still things to work on and improve for us but 3 wins from 3 is a great start and hopefully we can continue.

Another unbeaten team for us this week Leigh Miners and we will be preparing for a hard game, we had some good games against them in NWC 1 and a cup game in 2010/11 season.

The Leyland result was a surprise, was the 24-0 against Latchford a forfeit the week before?

Yeah leyland couldn't raise a side against us which they'd a strange as they have win every other game!!
Was a good win at st.judes for you as they are usually a tough team to beat at home
Shaping up to be a close league this season

Never played against Leyland or heard much about them, but giving the game to putting 50 on one of the early front runners seemed a big turnaround!!

I think it will be a very close league and can't see any 1 team running away with it.

From our initial games I can't see Spring View or Haresfinch being without points for long and think it's the kind of division where anyone can beat anyone on their day.

Struggling for numbers mate, travelled with 14 men again yesterday, i popped my ribs in the first ten minutes which left us with 13, the lad who came on for me was playing his first game of rugby league!

Trouble is we had a small squad to start of with and once you get lads working, and on stag dos etc etc aswell as the wigan v saints game kicking off at the same time we are gonna be struggling. We've been nowere near turning the side out that won the league last year...we have only lost one lad whos retired through injury, its just lads arent available on Saturdays at this time of year.

We could just do with 3/4 more regulars to fill the gaps when were short, but the thing is with local sides such as Pats, IRB, Judes, Cuthberts, Hindley & Riversiders turning 2 and some cases 3 teams out, then there arent many lads to pick from, we are relying on new lads that are brand new to the game.

Hopefully its as bad as its gonna get and things will start picking up. We play you men in midweek I think so we will see if we can turn a stronger side out.

I didnt see much of the game after I went off but im led to believe the referee was a disgrace.

To be honest I spoke to him just before the kick off and at the toss and he was an arogant git then aswell...I tried to tell him that we had glass and dog under our sticks he basically said "what do you want me to do about it!"....idiot.

Could have been a much closer score on another day,it was only last 10 min when you were knackered that we scored a couple of tries

With hindsight (a wonderful thing), Leyland shouldn't have tried to play the rescheduled Latchford game last weekend. Sufficient players had put their hands up but as the week progressed, players dropped off one by one until there wasn't a team available.

The Warriors are a very young side who like to play a fast and expansive game, 5 teenagers played on Friday. An old timer at IRB asked me where Leyland sign all their players from. He looked stunned when I told him they had almost all come through the juniors as he didn't know there was a club there! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. . . .

Glad you saw my tv appearance on Sunday!! And i'l have you know that i havent had any highlights in months. Maybe i need to get them again though if I look that bad without them!
