| Don't know how Adlington were unbeaten before Saturday but they got their loss in the end. Anyone dare to bet against the 3 Widnes teams being the top 3 come the business end of the season...? All 3 have settled squads and dont rely on players from elsewhere (Wizards etc)
Discuss.....

| If that's a dig at Woolston, unfortunately we're the only team in Warrington who don't get many players from the Wizards come the end of their season. We had one lad who has played with Woolston since being a junior and he may be joined by one other! For sone reason Bank Quay appears to be team they all choose to play winter rugby for.

| Id say the 3 Widnes teams have excellent chances of finishing at the top. We, Woolston, as Coley has stated, have never and will never rely on Wizards players. We are our own club.
Our start to the season has seen us playing catch up almost immediately. We have had a bad start to the year with injuries and unavailability which has seen us playing lads totally out of position and leaving us light "upfront" ie our back row has been filled with centres, etc
That said West Bank thoroughly deserved to beat us but we were very poor against Askam and woeful against Adlington, not taking anything away from those 2 teams though!!

Not at all a dig fella, I was just using the Wizards as a local example. It happens to teams across the NWC mate. As for Woolston, I always thought you were a good side, do you think a year in D2 will serve you well, before hoping to push on for next season? What are your u18/u17's like? West Bank are obviously doing well at the minute, but the weather conditions (at places like Adlington, Askam etc) will be a stern test for anyone.
What are people's opinions on 18-0 walkovers in D2? I think its disgusting, there are teams in D3, D4 who would get a side every week would defo fulfil fixtures, My Opinion is they should be thrown out!

| Will Alan Reddicliffe not be returning? Suppose you could count Scott Davidson and Danny Shaw but I appriciate they've been injured etc. Was more making the point that they don't all return to Woolston, thinking about it Rylands will probably inherit a couple of lads, tink, Wilson etc.
Although we've played no where near our potential yet this season it's clear it's going to be a much tougher league.
The tough games are great, really enjoyed our game with west bank last week, it's the eye gouging of Adlington I'm not too keen on.

Bad up there mate. I have seen things up there I have never seen in 15 years of rugby league. We all like it tough but blantant leg break attempts elbows to jaws gouging is par for the course up at their hole. When you play them at your place you might want to play on a big pitch instead of one of your small ones!

Aye, we (Woolston) had 2 players gouged at Adlington away but what can you do?
Unfortunately, we are governed by the local Parish council who will not let us use the main pitch on bennetts rec hence us using the one over the road. We have absolutely zero say in that.
We would much rather use a bigger and wider pitch.

| Unfortunately foul play breeds that foul play. I'm not at all condoning elbows and foul play, however it's very difficult to keep your cool when the other team is playing so dirty. Speaking from a personal point of view, I've never been sent off in an almost 20yr playing history but I did find myself rising to the foul play on that occasion, the odd punch in a tackle or whatever doesn't bother me but when there's fingers purposely going in eyes it crosses a line. At the end of the day were all in the same boat, we all have to get up for work on a Monday morning, that kind of thing could very easily ruin a blokes life. But I suppose you've got to accept there will always be stupid people who don't have a brain to think about it like that.
