2 wins on the trot now and confidence high, game was tough as hell and some huge hits put in today from both sides. just managed to hang on in the last few seconds!! delightful.

was a mess.

no contact from Crosfields during teh week despite us calling them numerous times from Wednesday and leaving messages - so we didnt know whether the game was off or on (given that they'd conceded a few we wanted to check).

I had a few conversations on Friday with the league as some lads (quite rightly) wanted to work rather than risk there not being a game; the lads needed a decision one way or other and by mid-afternoon and having tried Crosfields via a few other routes, we edged towards it being off, and dealing with the consequences after. then we got the call from Crosfields later on Friday...so it became even more of a mess as we tried to get back in touch with lads and see what we had left with some now unavailable. will wait and see what the fall-out is...

Wild Boars beat Wigan bulldogs 56 - 14

it's down as postponed. we could be down as technically conceding because we didn't put a team together late friday/saturday morning. league rules say we should have had contact 5 days before, but also, the league rules imply we should travel on an assumption that a game will be played, even though we couldnt get any contact (which is the reason I rung the league Friday because i wanted some clarity). We spent hours trying to get something sorted - it's a tough call on your committee and volunteers when they have jobs etc., to spend your friday afternoon and evening doing a load of peeing around. this weekend, I'm in Shropshire Friday night and will have a 3hr drive back on Saturday morning - i will have absolutely no mobile signal when down there - so no chance of trying to sort anything that late this week.

i'll go for all home wins, Even though Rylands are probaly expected to win i think after being let down last week Bury will come back to win this week, Eccy Lions are a good side so i expect them to beat bolton, Newton to beat Wigan i think the game will be a close one but Newton will win. Hopefully We can beat Wigan St Cuthberts, looking forward to the game. Also Widnes to have to much for Chorley
