| Predictions for this weekend:
Bold Miners vs. Chorley Panthers I Fancy Chorley here by 12
Leigh Miners Rangers A vs. Leigh East A I'll go with Miners for the home advantage.
Wigan St Judes A vs. Latchford Albion Surely a Judes win?
Wigan Spring View vs. Leyland Warriors Going to be a very tough one for us! Usually a good game but I fancy Spring view to win the league and we've had an awful start.
Heysham Atoms vs. Ulverston I'm going with a Ulverston win by 16.

| Which players from the other clubs havve impressed you most?
Latchford...tall 6 good all rounder
Ulverston prop and both halves
Thatto`s big but thought all the team were well drilled
Chorley...tall 2nd row hits some really good lines
we`ve had a good start at SV but think a majority of the teams can beat anyone on their day, really close games against Thatto,Ulverston and both Chorley and Latchford will cause teams problems if their not on the ball....only can comment on the teams we`ve played this season but sure Atoms,Bold,Leyland n Judes will be very good sides and it makes for a very enjoyable Division(much better than the 24-0 that we have all put up with in previous years)

| SV 54-8 Leyland.
All Credit to Leyland who's league position doesnt really do them justice. I think they may turn a few sides over this year if they are allowed to get a roll on, some decent strong runners of the ball. Let their heads drop a little when we got a roll on and played some decent stuff. Ulverston away next! Looking forward to that one!

| SV 54 - 8 Leyland Warriors
Another tough game against Spring View. Although the score line looks very one sided I'm not sure it tells the true story of the game, with Spring View running away with it in the final 20mins. We started well and were more than a match in the first 20mins but then a few mistake ( Mainly by me lol) Put us on the back foot and I think swung the game.
However credit to Spring View the are a great tough side and play the game in the right spirit. I fancy them to go all the way this season! Hopefully we can get that first win soon and get a bit of a run going.

A battle for 80mins there will be sore bodies for a couple of days after this game! either side could have won it ... The ref was awful! Young lad didn't have a clue what was going on half the time!
SV next at home for us should be a cracker

| Ulverton 24-36 SV
was another tough game yesterday. i think the try score was another 8-4 in our favour. don't think we kicked many!
not one for complaining about the officials but he was poor yesterday and gave us very little. in my opinion was responsible for the handbags in
in the last ten minutes.
another tough slog v ulvertons who once again ran all afternoon and i thought your no. 5 was excellent. for a small lad he never took a backward step!
i am glad that ones out of the way for another year!
good luck to the Ulverton for the rest of the season!

| Leyland warriors 6 -14 Heysham
Again a better performance by us with something to build on! A good game in the summer sunshine. I thought the heysham defence was great in the first 20mins when we couldn't really find a breakthrough with the pressure we had built up.
On a bigger note, the game was brought to an early end with one of our lads having a nasty injury. I'd like to wish him a speedy recovery and well wishes.

| One of worst performances from a ulv side I've seen in a long time! But spring view were the better side on the day there hooker controlled the game from start to finish... Good luck the rest of the year. Hopefully we get back to winning ways this week

| Bold Miners 22 - 34 Ulverston
Tough away win for the Ulvie this week. Great to be back to winning ways. Bold has always been a tough place to go so very satisfied with the 2 points. Folly lane losing at home was a bonus putting us in joint 2nd with Folly to play.
On a sour note, sh*t house tactics from 1 player including eye gouging and deliberate cannonballing below the knee is not welcome in the toughest sport in the world. Shame as the rest of the Bold lads were spot on and played the game in the right spirit.

| Your not the first one to complain about that with Bold. Its F'in dangerous and can not only end a lads playing days but can also put them in a wheelchair. time to pack it in!!! If you can't tackle properly don't bother at all!

| 2 x 24-0 results this weekend out of 4 possible fixtures. Leigh East couldn't send a team to Ulverston as they has to backfill the 1st team fixture which needs to be re-arranged......2 seasons in and slowly becoming a joke again! Only 1 game of the 4 fixtures actually played.

| Whilst we were one of the teams to throw the game this week, we had every intention of playing. We have a strong core of players within the team, however these are let down by a mix of selfish thoughtless individuals within our team who don't care.
Unfortunately with an injury hit squad we had to rely on these individuals for the game on Saturday which once again they let us down! When meeting up for the game on Saturday, we had 9 players turn up, with feeble excuses or no contact from the players who didn't turn up.
We apologise to Latchford for this situation, however we are not planning on throwing any more games this season and will strive to make sure we have a team for every game. Unfortunately we were let down this weekend by people we call our 'teammates'

East had to give up the game because there was alot of lads on one of the players stag do and they couldnt get the game rearranged and the lads that didnt go had to play for 1sts
