Bold 22-16 SV

We travelled to bold yesterday with 11 lads either working or on do's meaning we just managed to scrape a scratch 13.

22-10 at half time we won the second half having 3 trys disallowed.

Bold are a big physical side and have decent halves. They will have a good season.

Hoping that that was the worst in was goin to get in terms of lads having commitments over the summer, but based on yesterday we will be ok this year and will definitely compete.

Massive respect for the lads yesterday!

Spring View deserve a lot of credit for yesterday, to come with 13 and be running as strong and tackling as hard in minute 80 as you were at the start is really more than can be asked in that situation.

With 17 lads we would have been in trouble with the pressure we put ourselves under.

We seem to get into what should be winning positions then start playing panic rugby and giving stupid penalties away instead of settling into more basic play to try and kill the game off.

Good luck for the rest of the year Spring View and if yesterday is anything to go by it won't be long before you are picking up points and climbing the table.

They weren't a bad side to be honest,the ref just seemed to dislike them!!
We must have had 20 penalties in the 2nd half and at one point they were down to 11 men due to dissent

St Judes 20 - Bold Miners 32

We find ourselves 6-10 points down early in a lot of games, but on Friday night we raced to a 16-0 lead in about 10 minutes, Judes came back at us and stuck at it for the full 80. The opening really was the difference, still things to work on and improve for us but 3 wins from 3 is a great start and hopefully we can continue.

Another unbeaten team for us this week Leigh Miners and we will be preparing for a hard game, we had some good games against them in NWC 1 and a cup game in 2010/11 season.

The Leyland result was a surprise, was the 24-0 against Latchford a forfeit the week before?

Yeah leyland couldn't raise a side against us which they'd a strange as they have win every other game!!
Was a good win at st.judes for you as they are usually a tough team to beat at home
Shaping up to be a close league this season

Never played against Leyland or heard much about them, but giving the game to putting 50 on one of the early front runners seemed a big turnaround!!

I think it will be a very close league and can't see any 1 team running away with it.

From our initial games I can't see Spring View or Haresfinch being without points for long and think it's the kind of division where anyone can beat anyone on their day.
