Newton Storm 24-4 Hindley A

Great game played in great spirits, not one fall out on the park today, just both teams got on with their own game which was a pleasure to be apart of. Hindley A certainly were a much better team than their results show from this year, had a very powerful centre who was a ball ache to stop.
first half both teams were equal, second half i think we managed to pull away as we looked a little fitter, all in all a great game and hope Hindley A continue to get good numbers and run two teams competetivley, good luck

Next up the home of mmp and Cronus, cant wait for this one, my first ever game of rugby was the first game of last season when u beat us, i personally got smashed all over the place and thought about going back to footy, well im still here anyway and looking forwrad to another good game. Cronus is buying the beers in after wimping out last year when coming to our place, excuse......his own stag do or wedding i recall

Folly Lane "A" (*cough*) 52 - 4 Bury

We travelled with 14 (about 13 lads missing!) and possibly the oldest pack we've ever fielded, and an hour before kick-off we were stood outside the locked gates of Folly's ground - seems they were hoping we wouldn't show!

Started well and took the lead, and for a while we were evenly matched but then Folly's quality started to show. Folly's 1sts had conceded the away game at Leigh East, but plenty of the 1sts played today - and the much bigger pack and higher level experience started to tell. Down the middle and one channel we were solid enough, but a few lads simply didn't perform and Folly took advantage of some poor decisions in defence. Enjoyed the game despite the score, played in good spirit.

And yours truly had a try chalked off. Reckon a video ref would've given it.

I'll miss RL this winter but glad of a rest after playing 3 years straight.

Accy 20-16 Chester

Good game, terrible weather. Accy led 16-0 but we fought back to 16-16 before they regathered a short kick-off with about 10 to play for the winning try.
