The ref was bad for both teams last night, i don't know how you can give a "benefit of the doubt" try in an amateur game, you was all saying you wasn't bothered after the game but it certainly didn't feel like that in the game, it was a good hard tough game between two good sides, i personally thought the best team on the night won. we didn't have enough players on saturday to play because of work committments and injuries and we had at least 4 or 5 players missing ourselves last night too. we shouldn't even be playing at this time of year anyway, the season should be long finished.

good luck to irlam and spring view next season in division 2 and well done to spring view as they are worthy champions and have been by far the best team in the division all season. might see irlam boys in the valentine cup anyway????

Keep it friendly chaps. Local derbies generate a lot of passion i know, but let's be grown up about it. Game's done and the result won't change.

I think it'd be nice to see some sportsmanship, the langworthy lads seem to have it. And to say that nwc3 is ty is downright disrespectful in my book, take a close look at that sh11ty league table and have a look at it in comparison to others...I'm not sayin it has the greatest rugby sides in the world but it has some hard working honest sides in there that are travellin a long way week in and week out to get to the likes of Ulverston, Hindpool and Heysham, not to mention Higginshaw.......I think Irlam are a good side and will be challenging again next year however the divisions pan out, don't spoil yourselves eh with a few heat of the moment comments.

cowies id give credit where its due, like i said langworthy played well but the referee was really poor against us.
id give langworthy more credit if they would have played on the saturday but they give the points away to stay fresh for us.
Langworthy have come a long way since we played them 2 years ago but to give the game away like that on saturday was pathetic !!!!
