Abit quiet on here today! I am new to this so not sure if all this banter is good natured! Having been around this great game for many years I would expect it is.

A few interesting fixtures in terms of the top of the table with spingview takin the long trip to ulverston...not seen ulverston so can't comment on them...I think if the same springview team go there as I've seen of late especially there pack....then only one result for me, a springs win.

Langworthy and irlam should be interesting....the team who can keep there heads and 13 on the field should win that local derby.

Leyland are looking strong and consider them the dark horses in this division!

played both spring veiw and irlam in the last two season there defo the front runners for the league both play great rugby in both defence and attack.

just one thing about both teams that we at are club noticed they seamed very very arrogant attitudes and dont show so called lesser teams any respect!!!!! they seamed to think they were gonna turn and we would give them the game. we got stuck in to them and that attitude soon change they beat us at rugby with some good stuff once there bully boy stuff went away.

maybe they have change from when i last played them hope so as there both class sides just hope they have found that bit of extra class.

Chenko....that is the biggest load of sh!! I have ever heard, I don't know who you played for but you couldn't be further from the truth...I have played the best part of 40 games for SV and I have never ever turned up to a game expecting to win...and that attitude has never come from any of our lads of coaches....we had langworthy at our place 2 weeks ago, a side we put over 100 points on last year....we went into that game expecting a battle. We went to Ulverston last year and got beat....they turned up at our place a week later and we showed them respect and turned them over. Be curious to hear the thoughts of any west bank, woolston or mossbank players, even Irlam with regards to us being arrogant. As a club an excellent spread is put on after the game for EVERY club and everyone gets involved for a good drink. I think the fact that we have 30 lads every tuesday and thursday night which include most of the under 18s from the last 2 years doesn't allow anyone to be arrogant.

THERES A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARROGANCE AND CONFIDENCE!

I can assure you of one thing my friend....every lad at SV minute is battling for a shirt and nobody turns up expecting sides to roll over....if we had done that this year we'd have been sat bottom of the league instead of top!

you beat us higginshaw at your place 40-0 in season 08/09 and give us a harsh lesson in rugby fair play but what got our back up was on the return fixture one of your players walking up to the pitch said to us and i quote

' dont be embarresed when we put 70 on you after last time '

that has not sat well with us even till now. we showed the up most respect to you fellas even after a smashing like we got.
again you say teams like moss bank woolston got tyour respsct was that because they were up there with you by any chance on down at the bottom were we were.

it just seemed after are wooping at your place last year 40-0 if i remember when you came to our place it felt like you thought you had already won before we got on the pitch i stand corrected if am wrong and am looking forward to our matches this year just hope we dont get a savaging at yours again.

no need to swear pal and i like a bit of banter fav part of the game for me and i can take it just as much as i give it on the pitch but there is a fine line pal on the pitch fair do's but walking up and saying it before the whistle has gone is disrespect in my book ....

yippeee, finally got on here right set a few lines straight as there is no other langworthy player hear! ive bin reading all this s/v have bin puttin but in truth u have one gd player, he isnt gd really he is just fat with a gd offload, number 15 i think comes off the bench u wouldnt no rugby if it smacked you in the face secondly u have never put 100 on us, i find tht disrespectful even tho i didnt play u in any game last year. we have 2 new players not loads from mancs or any other team we have justed trained all pre-season, i think irlam will win our league to be honest but i think we could do a job on them hopefully on saturday depending on the ref becuase in the ametuer games they seem to want to make there own rules and have no flowing rugby atall, against haresfinch s/v and leyland we have been dwn to 11 men we know we need to lower our aggresion but we are an average age of 22 and if u think we are bullying you s/v i surgest you grow a back bone

Mate if you think Spring View have only got one good player I think you should go and see your doctor , see if he can get you a referral to your nearest mental health centre

.On the subject of the points S.V put on Langworthy last year you're right they didn't score 100 , the results were Langworthy 10 - 60 Spring View and the return fixture was Spring View 28 - 0 Langworthy , so they only scored 88 !!! Totally irrelevant really as Langworthy are a much better side than last year and past results count for 'nowt as I'm sure the current Spring View will be aware . They won't be underestimating anybody because as history shows anyone can beat anyone !!!!!!!!! And before you ask I retired from first team duty this year but I played in both games last year
