The time is not yet right to post my observations of that day on open forum.
However, as I feel at the mo, I (and by the sounds of things, quite a few others) really do not feel like going to the Shay. You will survive without my money I'm sure!

I believe the arrested man to be innocent of any crime that day - and I believe that no charges will be brought against him. Whether I know him or not is largely irrelevant. I've been wrong before - but on this occasion time will prove if I have got this one correct.

I don't share your pessimism. I believe an arrest and charge of suspected assailants will be brought about in due course. |

If what you sat Robin is correct about the arrested man not being the assailant then it is a worry because the more time that passes the harder the job gets for the police as potential witnesses disappear into the ether.
As for visiting Fax next season, I am seriously considering not going to any away fixtures and just concentrating on watching the reserves and academy as well as the home fixtures of the first team.The brutal attack on a fan regardless of who has committed the crime has shook me up big style and I'm not sure that I want to travel away anymore. Probably by the time the season starts i'll want my away rugby fix especially after being sat at home when the team are away but as of now I'm pretty set in my mind.
That is not a sleight on the great fans who travel away, I know that they are fantastic, loyal supporters who aren't interested in anything except having a good time and watching their team.

I tell you what the worry is, its the fact that you can be arrested in the way the man was in front of his family and hauled off to Warrington for 2 days on the flimsiest piece of evidence iv ever heard, because if its that easy then were all in trouble

As a neutral reading this, I find it incredulous that many Fev posters are saying they'll avoid Halifax, and how Halifax is rough, despite the fact it was the Fax fan that was the victim. I think considering the circumstances, any small piece of evidence should be acted upon asap.

The questions I would like someone on here to answer are 1; How can anyone confidently say that this person is definitely not the person who commited this crime? And 2; Why would you not support your team at a certain away game? I have not followed this incident all the way but something doesn't sound right to me.

another deflected answer, you probably failed at school did some nvq type non entity studying and ended up working for a large company or authority in nothing type of job that anyonce could do where you can hide away from being picked out.
