| Mark Aston???
He's been a head coach for quite a while now, could he be worth a punt?

If they're all still out of work three years down the line, it probably means they wouldn't be good enough anyway.

Big mistake, when there was no (kind of) demotion from SL, you should have concentrated on bringing local talent through your ranks. And....should you never have sacked Justin Morgan.'"
Wrong on so many levels, you really don't know much about the situation so you might be better off keeping quiet so you don't make yourself look even more stupid.

| Mark Aston? How low are our ambitions? Got to aim higher than that. However, I'm struggling to come up with any inspiring names that would realistically be interested / available for us. I fear it could be Aston, kear, noble, Chester, etc. Are they really potential head coaches that would get people through the turnstiles and reignite some sort of positive vibe around the place? Just hope hudge has a grand plan and an ace up his sleeve. Let's hope he's already sounded out potential replacements.

Would you have given Powell a job at Castleford? Ive said in a previous post weeks ago Aston would make a decent superleague coach.

Just proves my earlier post, we've gone from wanting the next Maguire when we appointed CS to trying to find the next Daryl Powell this time round, it didn't exactly work out to everyone's liking last time round did it?

| Chester has been part of the problem that has seen two coaches sacked, wake up. Do you really trust the same people who hired these guys to now carry out a full investigation to all off field matters to ascertain what is going wrong? If these people are so efficient at identifying what is wrong then why couldn't they step in over the past two years and nip it in the bud.
I worry for our club.

Our ambitions are mid table and always will be. That's the kind of coach we will attract.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?
I'm sorry it didn't quite work out, for the obvious selfish reason. Also because I'd like to see an understated technical guy do well, rather than a tea-cup throwing passionate type. But even for me his downbeat realism got a bit wearing, and I did wonder if his constant managing of expectations eventually became self-fulfilling.
Too many signings that didn't work out - and too few wins basically. Not that bad, but not that good either.
If Chester can combine the best of what he's learned from Morgan and Sandercock, that'd be good. Purtell would look the most likely to manage the transition to a top job of the assistants elsewhere. Or another Aussie; gouing against the current fashion has advantages.
