| City would not have to play away the weekend of the non international all they needed to do was tell the FL/PL that they would have to play on a sunday if the fixtures popped up a home fixture for that weekend.
Its not rocket science, they do it all the time during the regular RL season, FC will play on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday depending on City or Sky. Games are moved by Sky at a whim for television, Duffen just did not want the good people of Hull to have an international end of.

| Quote: Big Spender "TBF i think City fans would be glad to have you out the KC and their chairman definitley would. With Rovers fans it wouldn't matter one iota either way.
So the only public of Hull who would be bothered about it would be you B&W's.'"
I was thinking a bit more bigger picture on the basis its a community facility. The lack of concerts at the stadium since Duffen took over affects more than just B&W fans.

Always get a bite in the right plaice.
Never complain about another guests attitude at a mutual friends BBQ the day after the event and then be told by that host that its your own attitude that stinks.
Be man enough to complain on the day !!!!: |

I don't really understand your position on this point. 20,0000, 22,0000 or 25,0000 it could have been a profit making event in addition to City's home games not in replacement of one.
Not only that it would have spotlighted the KC as a venue, Hull as a city and RL's importance and standing within the community. How can you not see this?

They sold out their full nationwide tour in hours, but like most bands, are mostly doing arena's as opposed to stadiums. I'm going to see them on Tuesday!
Kings of Leon would be ace, and they are now more of a stadium band and now have a wide audience.
Both these bands sold out their previous Hull gigs in a few minutes.
Pink is rubbish IMO.

What are you talking about, I only asked if people think it would have been a sell-out. I think 19 to 20k would be about right.

| Interesting to see on Hull SL's forum Wilf Rosenburg telling them all that they were not offered a share of SMC or a place on its board. This is completley and utterly untrue. Richardson and Hetherington were offered an equal share but had to raise a bond and this proved beyond them. That is why the whole lot was funded by Pearson and he sold his interest in it to Duffen at the time of the takeover of Hull City. As far as I recall,Richo (the saviour) sat on his fat butt until the stadium was built and then moved his paperwork over in a cardboard box. It is also worth remembering that he pushed and pushed for the stadium to have a capacity of only 15000 but wiser heads overuled him. Obviously I am better connected than Wilf in this matter.

| Quote: Vicenzo "Absolutely bang on from Barnacle Bill. Mind you, don't expect anybody to believe you or Duffen!
The KC is a Community Stadium which is managed in total by SMC which makes all the decisions as to usage outside of the normal tenants requirements...FACT!
I honestly don'tthink PD could give a monkeys s*it about a so called "guaranteed sellout" in the light of the fact that Hull City's games bring more revenue into the SMC than a one off possible sell out. Are you telling me that if the game was against anyone but Australia it would still sell out. History proves otherwise. If you don't believe what PD said then tough! I do!'"
One thing you are not considering is, it would not reduce the numebr of City games.
Hull City being in the premiership brings them in revenue through TV rights etc. I would estimate (before someone comes on and diss's this, please not the word [iestimate [/i ) that as a stand alone, revenue generating event, a home game for City would generate somewhere in the region of £750k (thats based on an average spend of £30 for every single person in a 25000 gate).
On the basis that the tickets alone for an RL test would be £30, I think it would genereate a very similar total figure.
All of which is irrelevant as one the event has done enough to cover the rental of the stadium, the SMC wouldn't care less.
