Few people saying Leigh were poor but for me it was our defence and fitness in 2nd half that told in the end.Addy smashed Mortimer for 50 minutes and took him out of the game.We won despite Marsh being anonymous and Ellis giving so many 7 tackle sets .Lunt Lawler Addy stood out but lots of hard work across the park.Great result and big step towards promotion

The Leigh fans are saying we are a poor side but Lunt is class lawler could probably play for about 4 hrs non stop addy was excellent and I suppose the opposition wing and centre didn't like having to face Blair and carney Scruton and jewitt are solid Moss has to stay at full back if quinlan comes back in I'd put him in the halves

Our (Leigh) '5 drives then a kick' didn't work in the 1st half, so what do we do 2nd half.....same again !!!
Anyway, well done.

Pretty much the game plan we went with last week and nearly came unstuck

Fine margins.Lessons learnt at end of game on own goal line. When Moss coughed up ball after scrum that last play could very easily have been touched down and both sets of fans would have been feeling very differently now.No different to last year's game when they were 12-0 down at ours but won through out enthusing a supposedly superior side..very happy with result

I still think we won and still are nowhere near at our best. To go to Leigh with ZDC, Quinlan, Clark, Minns, Abdull and Donaldson (who when fit are a shoe in to be in the 17) out, shows how this win is all the more pleasing. I know Leigh had players out, but still have to beat what is still a pretty good Leigh team. Big wraps to Danny Addy, who would of got MOTM had it not been for Lunt's heroics.
Also think Lawler will be a very good Super League player. Rock solid in both defence and attack. Excellent player.

It was a bit of an understatement but I was just been nice, probably because we had won.
Had we lost then it the post would have been littered with the mother of all criticisms, with most been aimed at Ellis.
As I have said earlier, I would give Atkins a start next week and see how much he progresses.

Didn't Ellis kick a superb one for the second try, and did the first try come from his 40-20?

Give Atkin a full game next week I know Sheens has stuck by Ellis but after today's performance it must be time for him to sit in the stands I said a couple of weeks back he's playing like a player who's been told we won't be signing him next year

Other than Ellis' 40/20 and kicking all 4 conversions his overall decision making was pretty poor, however still his best game in weeks.
Jewitt gave away 5 penalties and against a team that isn't shocking going forward we would have been heavily beaten by HT. Some great plays today though we deserved the win.

I don't think we expect miracles from Ellis and I want him and us to do well but I'd rather just see him do the basics and do them well, bit like Finn at your place.Just watching it back now and he didn't do that bad tbf just the putting the ball out past dead ball line numerous times caught my eye.Marsh also needs to step up.Agree that Quinlan may be better option but not the time to be messing around even more with team.

Just got back, beer in hand to calm the nerves (kudos to Atom brewery btw!), that was as ugly a win as you would ever wish to see. Just what the doctor ordered.

Lunt was the difference between the sides and Sheens would appear to know what he's doing, despite us all wondering prior to today.

Ours to lose now, which we are usually quite good at! I'm just happy to celebrate a really important win for once, it's been a long time since I had that feeling.

Just re watched it and Mose went well and Didn't realise til watching it in slow motion that last kick Langi would have scored if Shaw hadn't done enough to muscle him off.Game saver
