| Still think we need a starting prop a big strong back row forward and a starting centre and our squad will be looking decent add to that the new backroom staff a bit of luck with injuries (mainly in the halfs) and we will definitely improve on this season

| I am pleased James Greenwood has signed a new full time 2 year deal. Looked good towards the end of last season. Will only improve with more game time and if JP offers mentoring advice as expected. Need one more big, bullocking, speedy back rower.

| Everyone keeps going on about how we need big back rowers but Farrell and Bateman at Wigan aren't that big but both are excellent players

They play alongside a big strong dominant front row and we don't have 1 of them

I think we actually mean "bigger and faster" back rowers than our current crop. Clarkson is a start, but reluctantly I have to concede that the dark side have got an excellent and superior pair of second rowers in Mini and Ellis, except the latter is now bordering on ineffective with all his injuries resulting in a lack of recent game time contribution.

Minichello is weak defensively (seems to fall off a lot of tackles) and Ellis is being moved up to prop. I think the 2 incoming for them will be good editions though.

Having watched mini I can tell you he isn't weak in defence, all round one of the better over seas signings we've made in a while

He's missed more tackles then anyone else in your team.

| Minicello is still a lot better than any of our backrowers, even if he does Miss a few tackles.
Infact I'd goes as far as saying that all Hulls 4 backrowers (Minicello, Ellis, Manu and Pritchard) are way better than any of ours.

I think you're correct, but I'd be equally disappointed if we had that much cap distributed to effectively 2 positions.
I'd like to see Larroyer behind a decent front row and as such have the donkey work took off him, this might mean we see him develop into a more Batemanlike 2nd rower.

I'd agree but good as they are there a bit injury prone and getting on a bit

| I'd agree about Hull's back line. Very impressive. They could do well on the back of their go forward. But, Ellis I'd say won't have a full season and the others are of the age where injuries are more common. Hull could have a season like the one we just had last.
As in our back line, it's 'ok' but hardly going to turn people's heads. Some of our forwards really need to up their game next year, and keep relatively fit. Easier said than done. But we can't always have seasons like the last few years when we have been decimated.

| The thing that is our biggest worry is how much time Kelly and Campese will spend out of the game. We can talk about luck all we like but I think we'll be lucky to keep them fit (Campese more so) rather than unlucky if the do get injured.
Looking at the injury record of both the odds are stacked against them.
