I am sure most Saints fans are decent, reasonable rugby league supporters. It's just a pity that a few dim scousers on here give their club a bad name. I have never had a soft spot for Wigan but I really do hope they give Saints a good hiding on Friday and I nearly wish Hull would do the same on Monday.

Rather than complaining specifically about the Burns incident , shouldn't he mention the refereeing? The Referee had the opportunity to sin bin / send off Green, but like the two tries from forward passes he missed it.
Has he noticed how Turner always seems late when 'tackling' a try scorer, and Wilkin 'falling' on Kelly AFTER he scored?
But then again everything seems to come down to those nasty Rabbitohs daring to beat them.

Strange Mr McManus talking about player welfare when his own medical staff allowed a player to play for 78 minutes with a triple fractured cheek. I'm sure the hand off by Dixon on Burns when scoring his try will have aggravated the injury.

The RFL really need to look into the whole issue of handing off St Helens players. It's really not fair.

Aye, but as when our chairman said something very similar, it's in reaction to something that affects his own club, and he very much makes it about the players involved and focuses on the relative injustices Saints have endured.
There is an issue, but it tends to get shrugged off when it goes in a club's favour with a shrug and 'about time one went our way'. So nowt much changes.

It was a bad challenge and even using an EGP, Green was fortunate to get just one game. Nobody wants to see players injured and I'm really sorry for Burns. I don't think players go out to injure other players, but I'm certain they do go out to hurt them - and that is a pretty fine line.

Wandering slightly off topic, depending on exactly what he meant, McManus should perhaps check the definition of 'definition'. Plus, he openly, if only implicitly, advocated inconsistent treatment of different clubs during the Bradford omnishambles. Basically his opinion doesn't carry that much weight for me/us and while I can definitely see where he's coming from, his perspective isn't ours and he hasn't tried very hard to broaden his message.
