I dont think that it is a bogus account. He may well have made a legitimate fortune and be free of any potential legal issues that he may have faced. If so great. It would have sat a lot more comfortable with me though if he had allowed our Board to work through any issues and then make their own statement. At best he is impatiant and at worst he is now trying to use the fans to gain publicity and thus force the issue with the Board.

Sorry, was just reading what gingerspice put earlier. But nonetheless there are comments in the link about action pending in the summer. So presumably the High Court resolution/settlement he references on Twitter is very recent? As mentioned, you'd imagine the HDM will confirm this position post-validation when the deal is announced.

I have not read the whole thread here but followed it on your other forum. If I was a Rovers fan I would be a bit nervous, it reminds me of my thoughts when Tim Wilby took over Hull FC and we didn't have google search then to tell us all the dodgy things he had been involved in.

On the twitter 'announcement' - fair enough, you'd expect him to be excited. But these things need a little management and co-ordination. Right now, he's out there on his own and until something comes from the club, it's difficult to know what to think. While, even as the board cold fish, I'm not immune to ambition and the dream of silverware, talk of the club 'rising from its slumber' could be seen as a little less than gracious given how far the club has come under the current and recent members of the board.

In fairness, he's handled the questions about his business past as well as could be expected in 140 characters.

If and when there's a formal announcement and a chance for him and the club to do a press conference, then things will be clearer. Today's Sunday and tomorrow is Christmas Eve, so I'm not sure there is much immediate prospect of that.
