Transitional year it is.
We have got rid of coaches like Graig Sandercock and players like Con Mika, Cory Paterson, Ervan Tuimarvae, Shannon McDonnell, Steve Southern, Antonio Kaufusi, and a dozen others and replaced them with rep standard players and the best coach in the world, so hopefully something clicks next year. |

He employed Wayne Bennett on a millon dollar a year contract.
He brought back local players Willie Mason, Danny Buderus, Timana Tahu, Kade Snowden and some imports like Darius Boyd, Adam Cuthbertson, etc etc.
He also employed the best trainers, built the best gyms and doubled the coaching staff.
The result of that has been we look like finishing 10th, and last year we finished 8th.'"

Only been there half a dozen times, and i go straight to the football ground.
It's a beach side suburb, so probably has fish and chips still, but i doubt they catch the fish local these days.

I was their in 1992 (GB Lions Tour), and visited the 'chippy' in Manly, as you say, excellent fish 'n' chips to be had.
p.s. were you on the tour led by George Fairbairn ?, I remember meeting a group of Hull/Hull KR fans in a bar in Surfers Paradise.

no we went independent stopped with some of my wife's relatives talking about surfers paradise,we went in a shop and the owner when she found out we were from hull she said do you know mike smith, so we said yes[ we did not] she said tell him you have seen me OK we said next day in Newcastle were the 2 string were playing we had a pint with him and told him did you take part in the conga and sing all ways look on the bright side of life in melbourne when we beat the Aussies  happy days |

According to 5 live he tried to 'get at' the judge who refused to give him a restart due to what he believed to be a mechanical fault.
