| I know the full story of what went on and as I've said before the actions of Ben and Steve Hayward (I know them both well) were over the top. However if you knew what had gone on previous to thompson (who is a bell end) hitting Bens friend, you'd be just as disgusted with what he had done. Hull KR for me have handled this situation well and I'm sure Ben will be keeping his nose clean and getting down to some hard work both on an off the pitch in the coming months. He already helps out at my amateur club and has been involved in coaching since he started playing semi pro so hs been giving back to the community for the entirety of his professional career.

Good idea give the money meant for charity to Ben, he deserves it more.

| Quote: Mild mannered Janitor "The same he would have done if he had gone inside, just its only for 2 months.
Not wanting to be too cynical, but Hudgels words on RH were "he would not be considered for first team selection". Does that mean he could play for the Under 21's?
I also think its convenient for both parties. It gives Cockayne the time to do is community service without having to fit it around work committments.
I hope that the service he does is not a cop out of going into schools to coach rugby. It should be something like scraping chewing gum off pavements.'"
A real punishment would involve scraping chewing gum off the 4 foot frontage of sir alex fergusons dug out ,he would return to first team action knackered

| As an outsider to the club, I would just like to say that I have a lot of respect for the way Hull KR has dealt with Cockayne. They obviously have a vested interest in him, being a valuable member of the team, but the statement clearly shows balance, integrity and a willingness to allow Cockayne to turn his life around. If Iraq has featured in his losing control then this could be an extremely important moment in his life and it could also be beneficial to the club and society as a whole. I'm sure too few violent offenders get opportunities like this from their employers.
So respect to Hull KR for this.
Conversely, I find myself respecting Castleford a little less. Their player had only played once, was a young guy, and they just kicked him out and got all holier than thou about our so-called 'family game'. (When exactly did rugby league adopt this mantle? Was it part of the Sky contract or something?)

HOW on earth do you get NILLED at Wembley ?
When your coach isn't a winner at heart and Gentle is not a winner at heart .
We were a pub team
I coached for a long time and we won 95% of games because winning is a mental state driven by a desire to CRUSH an opposition. Did FC look as though they wanted to Crush Wigan and strangle them until they screamed ? NO
RL is a tough tough game and Maylord She-dong you have no clue
In fact don't ever ever reply to any of my posts again:37721.jpg |

From out my back garden
You've tarmacked my driveway
Even though I said no
You've nicked my lead flashing
And weighed it in at the scrappy
Oh St Helen's tatters
