Not a chance we have a good coach but he needs good players to prove that

| A lot are saying rovers lack size. Maybe the case but in Maher Mulhearn Garbett not exactly small for props. You have 2 big centres and livitt and Hadley trout are reasonably built. Still think.you will be OK.

I know what you mean, and maybe we use it as a shorthand for a lack of power/aggression/go forward/ability to win collisions.
Mulhern is pretty lean, Garbutt misses a biggish proportion of games, Maher is a bit of a project.
With the terrible injury to Mose Masoe, if Garbutt doesn’t make the squad, it is among our bigger problems still.
We don’t have Addy, Cator and Donaldson together in the squad anymore, as we did in 2017, admittedly.

| Ok lads, its time to wake up and smell the steamed tofu.
Let me tell you a story. There was once a wealthy businessman that bought a struggling professional football team from Hull. The wealthy businessman put some of his own money into the team to buy good players and the sport team started to see some success. They climbed the league, won promotion to the top tear, and challenged their nearest rivals. All was looking good until the businessman attempted to purchase land around the sports stadium so he could develop it and make lots of money. The only thing standing in the way was the local council who currently owned the said land.
Now fast forward a little. The land purchase is still up in the air. The wealthy businessman has stated that he will only carry on investing in the sport club if the land purchase is approved. He has stopped putting his own money into signing quality players and as such, results are going from bad to worse. The club finds itself in a relegation scrap could even freefall from the heights reached only a few seasons ago.
Question: Who thinks this story is about Allam? WRONG!!! Read it again and take a moment to pause and think about it.

Question
you are wrong, the land purchase was approved, it is other plans being discussed. Stop trolling.

You've completely missed the point. The OP is "What's gone wrong". I am telling you what's gone wrong.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Unless the point you were attempting to make was "How to prove A Adler is a complete and utter gormclops in four paragraphs", you failed.

As Colin Hutton said when trying to kill off Hull FC
“ sorry FC but there is only room for 1 rugby league club in Hull”
He meant it

| go back to your relegation year in 2016, ok you got few over paid, injury prone players off your books, mix that in with the stupid 888 system recruiting quality was always going to be a problem as you never knew which league you would end in whilst all the SL teams in the top 8 were already securing the better players on offer, imo thats where it all went wrong for rovers

I quite liked ‘wake up and smell the tofu.’ The supposed sting in the tale (pun intended) was rather telegraphed though.

I know you can’t defame the dead under English law, but did he actually say that? Isn’t it usually Barry Lilley usually who Hull fans like to get in a lather about?
You do know about Hutton’s record as a player with Hull FC, kicking the goal that won the Championship in 1956 and so on, yeah?

Yeah that knackered us. I think the manner of it is a legacy that has been tough to shake as well. Especially so close on the back of our Wembley debacle the year before.
Sheens did a good job of laying ghosts to rest over the next couple of years, and I must be approaching some sort of statute of limitations for whining on about Jamie Peacock. So, I think you’re absolutely right but we can’t go on blaming it forever.

I know exactly his record, which is why his comments ahead of the FC Gateshead merger, were so controversial.
