I think we knew that we were taking a couple of gambles on Campese and Kelly. And arguably they paid off, to some extent at least - when fit they're outstanding.
And to me taking on two like that halfs the risk, rather than doubling it. But now we face the downside, and just have to get on with it.

tbf, though less likely, it could have happened with two halfbacks with excellent previous fitness records.

The team that walks out a Wembley - well it'll have 'evolved' a fair bit even since the start of the season!

Just a thought, but maybe the club should be looking at it's fitness & conditioning teams. As has been said a few times when we ran out against Leeds in game one, we did not look fit and unfit players are more likely to get the strain type injuries. Nothing you can do about breaks, but the others....... !!

If it's truly as bad as the club are now making out, why name him in the 19 on Thursday?

And, why didn't he come off when the injury occured?

It's one of the things that bugs me about Rovers. Just let us know what our injuries are without having to all second guess on sites like this. Especially with long term injuries like this one.

I reckon kelly will play at Wembley, cotton wool til then and see how he goes, yesterday result gave us a massive boost in terms of being able to rest a few.

Maybe we can afford to rest a few but, I don't think we can afford to lose any more than 2 games. Could do with a big points difference boost as well as I think over just 7 games, points dif. will play a big part on final positions.

I'm not sure it is as bad as is being made out but that is purely guesswork of course. I'd imagine if he's 75% fit he will play at Wembley. With the win over Leigh on Saturday it affords us the luxury of probably not needing him in the middle 8s now.

Don't know why some people are confident of walking these super 8's. Its one thing turning over a naive championship side but the SL sides will be a different kettle of fish home or away.
