| I work with a guy from London who's being living in Hull for 3 years. He reckons that we are some of the most unfriendly people he's ever met. When I asked for examples he said, "When I walk down the street in Hull & say Good Morning to people, they look at me like I'm crazy". He say's everyone greets each other where he is from.
I'm just not having it, I don't think we are that bad. I once asked an older, unsteady on his feet man if he wanted my seat on the tube, he looked at me as if I'd asked him to stick a red hot poker up his jacksy.
Am I being bias, (biased?) or are we in general an unfriendly bunch in Hull?

Tell him, in the most impolite way, go home to the rat race where people are certainly not more polite, then tut at him for looking at you.

You should have seen me, I tried using scissors, pliers, my teeth & then I found the spanner. I was sweating by the end of it.
The sad thing is after all that effort, I only had one glass.

I often tell him to keep his Southern beak out of Northern business when he trys to join in the rugby banter, he reckons he's a FC fan.

Right.
What on earth are you doing?
It's fine to be with a southerner, but they never dictate.
OK, you have to give a little down south, mine's quite feisty and I've taken a lot of stick over the years and had to drink Brew XI, but if they choose to live up North, they live by our ways.
Mines lived in The People's Republic Of Yorkshire longer than she lived in the south and yes, she is the boss, but she'll only ever have a visitors visa.
As people spread all over the earth, it's our duty to keep these sacred lands as they are.

Ohh.... Fan IS.

Proper cork or Stelvin is the only closure wine should come with, anything else and you're drinking anti freeze.
Mind, given that you were probably mixing it with coke, it's all you deserve.

| Quote: Marfa Manu "Well I stopped smoking in Dec whilst taking champix, it was fairly easy however once I stopped taking the tablets I started again by about May I think..
Now I have been stopped again for nearly 4 weeks now without champix! it is not too bad apart from the fact I am an emotional wreck, I cry at the slightest thing which is not really me (normally I stand my ground and argue, hard for you all to believe I know
You shouldn't be feeling like that.
Have you looked on the NHS websites that tell you what to expect?
With me, I knew it would take three weeks before I felt OK about it, I've come pretty close to buying some on a few occasions but have just managed to hold out.
I'd say go and see your doctor and perhaps get some replacement therapy for the very short term.
You'll know yourself how you should feel if you've given up before, replacement therapy's not for me as i don't have addictive personality, I just have a gluttonous one, anything I have i'll basically want to max out but if i have to stop, I can.
I can remember when I got glandular fever, my biggest worry was not having a drink for six months! In reality it really wasn't that difficult.
Good luck and keep it up.

Amongst others I've had a divorced beardy bloke looking for a life partner who thought I (and I'm guessing any number of other people he randomly messaged) looked just the ticket (his profile having some very thinly-veiled bitterness about his ex-wife), and today a guy from New York, working in Basle, working for a "gold business owner" which "is a very good business which can give you money by unexpected...." and whose favourite quote is "behold i give you the power to treats on serpent and scorpion and over all the power of enemies and nothing shall any means hurt you..." There's a photo of him, a grown man, riding a very small bike and he supports Chelsea. Cripes! Who's your most entertaining internet stalker?'"
I don't do Facebook, but if I was guaranteed to get talking to barm pots like that then I'd join.

| Has anyone tried these 'Toaster Toastie Bags', They're great.
You pop a bit of cheese, onion, tomato (Or anything you like in a Toastie) between two slices of bread, pop them in this little flimsy brown packet and into the toaster as you would normally, It smells lush as its toasting and tastes great. Then they just wash clean for the next use.
