Bit different to McDonnell and Mika as they've played rep footy, their still at a good age and could easily find other Nrl clubs, i'd have them both at Souths, if hkr pulled it off would be a massive coup.

Sau is one of the most powerful running backs in League and has been a match winner for NZ over Australia with several powerful tries where he ran right over the top of the Australian centres.
His big problem is that it never enters his head to pass the ball and every team in the NRL knows that all defenders can just go for Sau if he gets the ball, because he won't pass.
Wayne Bennett worked hard on this in the off season and said he had taught the guy to pass, but after the first game he was dropped (got his spot back due to injuries and suspension of other players) and stats up till last week showed he hadn't made a single pass all season. Last week he passed twice to Uate and Uate scored two tries because all the defenders had gone in on Sau - funny that.

James McManus is the safest winger in the NRL. He is fearless and can jump like practically no one else in the comp.

He is the most professional player we have. I can't see us wanting to get rid of him - although i suppose he is on decent money and we have plenty of depth in the outside backs.

We have only used him on the wing, but the guy learns skills very quickly and could play any number from 1 to 5 and even hold his own in the forwards if he had to. He is a massive metre eater on kick returns and takes more than his share of hitups, which makes up for him not being the quickest player going around.

What the...?

Roopy, I heard these two players names in pre-season, supposedly on Sandy's shopping list for next season - Sinbad Kali (112K prop) and Simon Williams (centre/winger). They both play for Newcastle Knights feeder club Central Coast Centurions - whats the score on them?

Sinbad seems to have given the game away this year.
Simon graduated from Uni as an electrical engineer and has decided to concentrate on work and play part time footy. He is signed to Newcastle Wests and they are looking for big things from him this season.
