Quote: dum-dum "My cousin is having trouble whereby he fills in his form (with their help) and they don't pay him on the basis that he's done something wrong (so he says, personally I'm of the belief that this is just a story to hide that he has money so he doesn't have to spend it), is this a similar matter to which you would wish to complain? If so, it appears quite common in that 2 people, that I know of, are being fiddled.'"
No my problem is one of complete disinterest.
I was claiming JSA as of Feb last year when I was made redundant and so I claimed on my mortage insurance.
I managed to get a christmas job at Asda which ran for 1 month from the start of Dec to the start of Jan.
My mortage insurance company just suspended my claim as they were fine in me taking temp work, they informed me that if nothing came of it full time they would just continue my claim where I left off (2 1/2 months left of 12 months I can claim between full time jobs).
I didn't get kept on so I telephoned the JSA and informed them of this, I also telephoned my insurance.
I went back to sending all documentation I had with regard to searching for jobs to my insurance company.
2/3 weeks ago I recived a letter saying they couldn't proceed until I sent them a copy of my JSA confirmation letter.
I had never recived such a letter (I had thought nothing of it at the time as I and the JSA knew it was for national insurance stamps only as I had already used up my contribution period (6 months) of JSA payments and so I assumed that was standard practice).
I telephoned the JSA office and was told not to worry a letter would be sent out to me with in 5/7 working days.
8 days pass and no letter arrives so I telephone them again, I am informed that yes there had been a letter sent but 'just in case' another letter would be sent as a priority.
After waiting another 3 days yesterday I telephone AGAIN only to then be told that it is impossible for a letter to have been sent to me as my local processing department hadn't even processed my claim yet.
At this point I went nuts.
I demanded to speak to a manager only to be told that none were available at that moment, I was then assured that I would recive two return phone calls one being from the JSA manager that wasn't available at that moment and one from my local processing office to sort out my claim.
No phone calls arrived.
I telephoned YET AGAIN and was assured that my local processing centre would telephone me but the manager would now not be telephoning me back and I had to put any complains in writing to my local JSA office.
I STILL didn't recive a phone call yesterday.
I am now in a state of utter limbo, My insurance will not pay out unless I get the letter from the JSA and any attempts to get a letter are been blanked by unhelpful call centre staff.
I have now signed on 4 times and I have no idea what for when I am not even going to recive any national insurance stamps I think and I am paying a mortgage that should be getting covered by my insurance.
I feel I am quiet laid back but I wanted to tear someones head off yesterday.
