The way the film was done copied his style superbly I thought.

Can't stand that, always disappointed when The Nazis don't catch them.

| Love Sin City, despite Tarantino's input, don't get his films at all.
I managed to avoid The Sound of Music until a few years ago, cannot stand it or the god-awful music/songs, the reusult being Julie Andrews made more films and every few years the real Von Trapps turn up on TV and go over it all again. Nuns huh!

| Just been browsing the Wigan Board 9Only because I was looking for something, honest!) and they have got a 'game' of Hangman going by way of off-season entertainment, given half the posters can't spell and the other half can't grasp the principle, it is quite funny.

| Not sure if I've missed you Sandra, just wanted to wish you a good trip this weekend.Don't forget your hat, it will be cold over there, watch out for muggers with guns and don't mention your forum name to anyone at the airport. I believe Bloomindales has a sale on at the minute, so you may want to avoid that area all together, just tell Ms Terrorist your taking the scenic route. If your thinking of gifts can I ask for a tacky statue of the big blue lady? Oh yeah, if you see the naked cowboy give him a punch and tell him to put some clothes on. Enjoy.
Edit. Forget the last part, the Naked Cowboy is bigger then I thought.

| I hate people who drive about in low visibility conditions with either no lights at all or side lights, I've purposely cut up about 7 small hatchbacks today in my big white van. TURN YOUR LIGHTS ON.
Scared a horse last night and a poor young lady was thrown from it, she said her foot was hurting but managed to get on her horse and take her back to the stables, hope she's ok, I went to the stables to check on her but she'd gone.

Cheers chuck, just getting my stuff together.
Don't mind going to Bloomingdale's, as long as I don't have to go to Macy's I'm sweet. Saks is my favourite, or Century 21 if I'm in a mood for a jumble sale.
Off to a top Thai place tomorrow, one of our friendsis Thai so she basically goes in the kitchen and says, I want this like that etc, but in Thai and half an hour later a banquet arrives.
I've seen the cowboy, he's a right pillock.

On my way home, at quite high altitude so through low cloud, getting dark and raining I was following an idiot with no lights on, as we went past a junction another car flashed them to say "put your lights on", problem was, the flashing car didn't have their lights on.
The other one is, "oh, it's raining heavily and there's a lot of spray, I'll put my fog lights on", thanks for blinding me you massive gormclops.

| Had a bad day and I think it got worse, my lad (the younger one) is at college doing his A levels, though I have sensed he has not settled. He loved school he was the vice captain of an all boys school, he is a lads lad so to speak...Any way he is undecided about his future, we have explored a few options which may interest him, he mentioned the Royal Marines as an option last year, Monday he mentioned it again more seriously, he plays rugby and is fit. I come home today to find out he has been for a run to improve his fitness I told him not to worry he has a lot of time he only just started his A levels, then the bombshell! he said he is seriously thinking of applying as soon as, and dropping out of college if he is successful, not sure what I think of this tbh, I know as an individual the lifestyle would possibly meet all his personal needs, he is competitive, he loves new challenges, he is a team player..

Crumbs. Poor you, but all credit to him for his ability to make a mature and life-changing decision. Do they need to join so young, would age 18 make much difference to the Marines? Or would the Marines put him through his "A" levels anyway? If not, I'd seriously encourage him to get them under his belt first. But he sounds like a fine boy, got to say.

Going to do a bit of research on it myself, apparently no they would not put him through his A levels, however he said he would apply to go in as an officer (typical of him), the requirement for that is 5 GSCE including English & Maths he meets these requirements (he got 4 A*, and 5 As), physical fitness and leadership skills, he possess both, the fact he was vice captain at Trinity will stand him in good stead. Interestingly he explored the Merchant Navy a while back and was told he would probably go straight into there as a junior officer he does not want that though as they do not offer the sporting opportunities like the RN do.
He is a fine boy Wormy, bloody good looking young chap as well, over 6ft with developing pecks he is popular with the girls ....I feel a bit sad as my other lad is going to work abroad as a rep early next year, it appears they could fly the nest at the same time. I am sure I will get my head around it, and we will ensure we look at all options and weigh things up but I have to accept that ultimately the choices are the his.

| In my opinion, which is highly valued, naturally.
If you want to go in the Armed Forces, go in as soon as possible, that way, you're out sooner having done the minimum requirement. If you like it, stay. If you don't, they retrain you if necessary to go out in the big bad world. Bit like prison.

No, silly. I wasn't in my van at all, I was putting something in the bin. The horse, you see, is being 'broken in' and is a little bit shy of noise, the bin lid falling closed was enough, even from 10m+ away. Poor girl, she was like "At least my phones ok" whilst looking in absolute agony with her foot, I can quite imagine her telling the Doctor "No, You may NOT cut off my riding boot!"

Any way have you read your PMs...we have our own war to win

| As Wormy said, he sounds like he's got a good head on his shoulders. It seems as though he's going into it with his eyes wide open and not just signing up because he doesn't have any other prospects. Still I can understand how you may feel, he's still your little boy.
