Any whispers you have heard roopy? Someone on a rovers page on Facebook seems to think we're signing a centre/winger whose been released by manly....

| If we are not careful we are going to be back in superleague with an undersized back row again .Donaldson and Blair I really like but if that's our starting second row we need a world class 13. Greenwood/Clarkson again not the biggest.Masoe could slot in there but can't do the minutes required.1 or 2 forwards needed

I've heard about a centre but that was Matthew Allwood from the warriors.

Not heard of him? I follow the warriors (loosely) too.

| Allwood is a hull kr player according to the ever reliable Wikipedia. ... agree about the back row though Donaldson is tenacious but ultimately too small to play there at super league level....

A backrow of Greenwood and Blair is bigger than Farrell and Bateman. For me backrow is more about strength and speed than size alone.

| Think you need a bit of both.Last time around in Superleague under various coaches we went with mobility over grunt. Even in Championship we had a few games with pack on back foot.We have the makings of a good side but like people are saying we need quality not quantity and I'd still like to see 1 or 2 6 foot plus
Hefty types to compliment our medium sized players who certainly have big hearts. It's a nice problem to have I guess between now and new season?

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

Sorry I am confused (suffering from man flu ) so is clark on the quota? I agree about quinlan although I have a feeling Tim trusts him to regain his form.

Forget the quota as its all about Fed and Non fed. You are allowed 7 non fed iirc. A fed trained player can be born and grow up anywhere in the world but if he came through the ranks of a club (amateur or Pro) in the RLEF(Europe) region then he is classed as fed trained. If the player was trained elsewhere in the world(Aus, NZ PNG etc.) then he is classed as non fed. Mitch Clark iirc was trained down under so he is classed as non fed.

| Thanks for clearing that up chief, then I would definitely offload clark, he's obviously not favored by Tim and he's not going to get a good run of games at sl level to prove him otherwise.

You can have Sio back if you like.
He won't get a lot of game time in firstgrade next year - we have signed SKD from the Roosters, Moga from the Broncos, and Ponga from the cowboys for our back 5, so only a few injuries will get him a game next year.
