| Quote Roofs="Roofs"It's a fluke because they've been a disgrace for months and months. City and Rovers both caught teams cold early on, but whereas City have now not won for a long time, we managed to grind out wins later on as well to make sure.'" So your original post was wrong then, it's not a fluke if City manage to 'grind out' a result next Sunday?.
One thing City haven't been is a [idisgrace[/i, mabye if they had been cut adrift at the bottom of the table and relegated with virtually no effort like Derby last sesason, but going ino their final game with a slim chance of survival would have been seen as a success whn they were the hot favorites for relegation last August.
AS for the Media Coverage, live with it, they are currently playing in the most watched sporting league in the world, you really expwct the local paper not to cash in on it while it lasts?. You're starting to sound like one of the more bitter supporters from he Dark Side who resents City just because they take away some of the limelight from their beloved club.

I meant that whilst they were undoubtedly superb before Xmas, since then it can't be denied that they have played and had results of a Championship side, not Premiership.
Not bitter about it, because I hardly read the rag now anyway since their cash-in/glamorisation of the Cockayne story.
Like I said, credit to City if they survive, but just saying I'm more bothered about Newcastle surviving. In all fairness I bet any Middlesborough fan or any other Newcastle supporter in the city feels the same.

| 6/4 on City going down is quite appealing, had £40 on at that price with Quins and Hudders today with handicaps in a nice little treble!!
What a steal

| Manchester Utd havent got a 'weak side' though, that's what people are forgetting. Even if Ferguson decides to throw the youngsters into the team against City (as you would imagine) I fail to see how that would benefit City's cause tbh. All the Man Utd youngsters will want to prove a point and will be desperate to impress, and lets not forget, a side consisting of the likes of; Foster, Rafael, Gibson, Macheda etc is probably still head and shoulders above City's team ability wise. Ofcourse everyone will be relieved should the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney etc be rested, but that doesn't neccessarily mean they wont' play some part. I'd expect Sir Alex to put out a fairly youthfull side to start, with a few of the more experienced players on the bench.

That is what people are forgetting, Man Utd will have 17 players out there wanting to break into the Champions League side should a training injury occur or even playing for contracts.
Nobody rolls over in English sport, it aint done at Professional level.
City will go down, and I will have made enough money to have a short break in London with the Missus. Sweet.

Yep, the loan move states that he cannot play against United, so why can't he play for United against City!!
I can't see Utd playing Ferdinand the whole game or Tevez, surely?

| Manucho is absolute rubbish, worst striker I've seen in the Prem for some time. The amount of decent chances he got yesterday and he fluffed everyone.

Manchester United's reserves would finish mid table if they played every game throughout the season;
When City have played the likes of Arsenal / Chelsea they have produced the best performances of the season with the extra quality the top teams have making the essential difference; against Liverpool city dominated the first half but were punished for not taking their chances with a quality strike by Alonso
If city had to beat Man U i would be conceding going down; the fact Newcastle are going to Villa who have to win as well increases our chances of staying up dramatically
