| With all the great players we have had at our club, roger millward was different class an r/l great.
Miller imo would fall in the top class bracket along with several others, gary prohm was my personal favourite.

Me and my mate helped the kit man at the time. Miller sat with his foot in an ice bucket for an hour after each game with a towel over his head. The club were a shambles at that time.
Miller looked gutted after each game. His team mates were fooling about.
I couldn't fault his effort the man was a giant for us shame his team mates were not.
I fear a magic weekend bumming again tonight with out Kelly.
If Kelly has a ligament strain we could cripple him playing him tonight.
Some of Chester's medical reports have bordered on the hilarious this year.
'Terry has done his knee....could be back for the weekend.....
Shaun has a twisted spine......expect him back at the weekend...
Following the amputation Dane should be good to go tomorrow...

| Favourite non Hull player of all time for two reasons.
1. Total class. Hard as nails and epitomised just how good both teams were in the early eighties by the fact he was the second best loose man in the world and the city at the same time.
2. I pulled his ex chick in Tower and as soon as she said " I used to go out with Gavin Miller"....I had to do what any red blooded desperately drunk fc fan would have done.

You asked her to get you his autograph?

| I'm convinced his pre-game chat in the dressing-room galvanised the players.
Check out the footage and see Josh Mantellato and the rest of the Aussies hanging onto his every word.
But let's hope Rovers don't risk playing anyone at Wembley, in four weeks time, with the sort of thigh injury Gavin took into the 1986 final. He was never fit that day.

Which team mates are you talking about because I knew all of them very very well and don't understand where you're coming from.
Gary Prohm, Gordon Smith, Paul Harkin, Dave Hall, Chris Burton, Andy Kelly, Phil Hogan, Dave Watkinson, Garry Clarke, George Fairbairn, John Lydiat which of these weren't top players for the club?
Miller was a superb player but he wasn't a superstar by any stretch and had he been honest about his fitness he wouldn't have played in the Challenge Cup Fibal against Castleford. His inclusion meant HKR carried him throughout the game and possibly cost the club a Cup win. So he wasn't without faults in his character himself.

| Only the same as Wakefield did with Ashurst in 79 or Leeds did with Senior once in GF.
You take the chance sometimes. It's a bug game.
He was Hull KR's best chance.
Great player.

I'm talking of his second spell at the club...Bishop etc not his first spell.
Not a super star...how many Rovers players have been man of steel?
As for the s#it's fans references to Steve Norton. The games I saw them play each other did Norton turn up.
Norton of course would have made the Australian team when Bradley Clyde etc was available in the same position and Norton would have captained an NRL team......when he was sober enough of course.
Dave Hall was a better loose forward than Norton.

This was when rovers were back to back champs and favourites for the cup, I know all hull ( both clubs) like a moan but Jesus they were on of the best teams in the country at that time.
On Miller great player mos and twice Rothmans medal (daly m ) winner. Probably best Aussie Lf after Wayne Pearce in 80's. Wish Leeds had him at the time.

Captained New South Wales and won the world cup. Fabulous player. Brave as you get. Not big. Great defender and ball skills of the best half backs with a top side step. Spent his first half season watching Hall put players through holes and applauding him. Then spent the next season doing it himself.
Best player I've seen at Rovers. Saw Roger play once. Broadhurst and Prohm up there too.

I also went to that first A team game that Miller played in and you could tell then that he was going to be something special.
