Furthermore, when the alarm bells started ringing about the Bulls surely the RFL knew the extent of their debts when buying Odsal Stadium. Someone must have known half a million pounds wouldn't be enough to safeguard the Bulls?

Sad situation for the Bulls. Ironic that the VAT due from the sale of Odsal is the main cause of the winding up order.

Yeah they used to get big crowds, but I remember being at a fans forum at Craven Park several years ago when they in their prime, and one of the panel saying Colin Hutton had been speaking to their CEO or chairman at a RFL meeting and being told the average price paid on the gate was something like £6 per head due to all the freebies etc they gave out. Similar thing now with the discounted passes they've sold. I realise you have to attreact new fans to the ground but there comes a point were it becomes financial suicide.
As much as it's nice to see this sort of thing happen to any team, I would hazard a guess they'll get more help from the RFL than we ever did in thre same situation.

Kearney could find his self in demand bearing in mind the shortage of fullbacks throughout the league, Crookes played well against us on the wing, Batemans spoken for, Kopczac(sp) keeps being mentioned, all i all pretty much the same ones being mentioned on your FC board and probably several others on RL fans.

They could always merge with Gateshead

Sammut's wrong with putting him at FB.

Although he may not be a FB now he would add an incredible new dimension to our attack.
IMO his attacking prowess would vastly outweigh any defensive drawbacks.
Kearney wasn't a fb before he went to Bradford.

Maybe he'd do ok, personally I hope we don't fi d out lol. Sooner have Kearney, he always looks a threat in a pretty average team. Imo of course
