| Well done!
Really, finally draws a line under things from a couple of seasons ago.
It’s been a big challenge to get up and stay up.
Keinhorst, Hauraki and Lannon confirmed for 2019.
What a relief - and no more 8s!

| We will see if the rumours of an Aussie half and Forward are true? Had it in good authority mid season they were coming as long as SL .Proper stars not kids like Pants Down Pearson signs on the cheap

| Well done. It would have been very unfair that having finished 10th in the regular rounds you ended up in he MPG again. Glad you stayed up!

Heard the same mate. We need more than this though. We lose Quinlan, Minns, Heffernan and J Carney. For me Hauraki at 34, Keinhorst, Hall, Crooks all from qualifiers clubs. Need some X factor in the backs division.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Thank baby Jesus and The Orphans for that.
Didn't enjoy the game or the day at all but thank heavens for no MPG.
It felt a bit anti climatic in the end.
I thought it was a professional performance, not a great one, we did what we needed to do. The difference this week was that the senior players in McGuire, Scruton and Blair really stood up. I really like Atkin, I think he's improving all the time, he's not afraid to get involved and he continues to become more consistent. Lee had a really good game, defended superbly at times and Mulhern continues to be a machine.
Further recruitment in either a full back or a half back, a centre and we still need that big nasty prop is required. I wonder if the signings of Lannon and Hauraki signal Bobby Blair's retirement? I hope not.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |

| The best thing that happened today was carney going off and Blair coming on shows how much we’ve missed him the last couple of weeks he has to get another contract

| Lannon is a good signing imo.Very similar to Clark but we never gave him a real chance. The job is done despite Minns drug ban, Heffs retirement Shaw lawler Quinlan and Carney season enders.Lunts gash! Lunts meningitis,Mcguires clot, wierd suspensions, refs costing us 6 points, general injury madness.Sheens has done well for all the setbacks and starting behind the other 11 teams in regard of the new season.Well done Hudge and Rob.. I effing love The Rovers and very happy tonight

I don't usually bite but I feel I need to comment on that. Our recent signings arent meant to be stars, they are clearly to pad out the squad with the reserves starting again next year and a number of our youngsters being deemed surplus to requirements. N'Zoungou could have a decent future, but I don't expect the other 3 to ever play a SL game unless we have another mad injury crisis.
Anyway. Congrats on today. Yes I was rooting for Widnes, but as I said earlier in the thread it would have been an injustice for you to go down after what has been really not a bad season. See you all next year.

Well he's no Danny Houghton but I wouldnt go that far.
Incidentally it sounds like he is doing well. Hope to see him back on the field asap.

I think I spent so much of the week preparing for the worst, then feeling even worse when O’Brien kicked that drop goal for TWP, that I didn’t really know how to feel at the end. The radio coverage was pretty matter of fact too, and it was just all a bit understated.
There wasn’t the buzz of Shaw’s long range try last year, for example. But really, this is enormous. It feels like we’ve shaken off a burden. Today something could have gone wrong... and it didn’t.
What a good job Tim Sheens has done of picking us, dusting us down and getting us back to where we are now. Into a massive headwind of misfortune this year too.

| Relief is certainly the feeling.
It's been a tough season and the qualifiers are unbelievably tense, they really take their toll on the players of all clubs involved. Now we have negotiated them the club can build with a little more confidence.
Here's to 2019.

So how exactly did you expect RH to celebrate your 32nd consecutive year of utter mediocrity?
