Scotland's preparations for the forthcoming Rugby League World Cup have been hit by two late withdrawals from their squad.

Batley half-back Gareth Moore, who will join Featherstone in the off-season, has been forced to pull out due to a shoulder injury, while Castleford prop Jonathan Walker has lost his battle to recover from a troublesome knee problem.

So, his knee isnt "playing him up", its the same issue taking a bit longer to recover from. From a Rovers POV I'm quite pleased he has a longer rehab period before our pre-season. Obviously he will be gutted.

I'd rather him take it easy and make it stronger rather than risk anything

I'm not fishing here (honestly) but why sign someone who is currently injured , how did he even pass the indipendent medical ?
