Bought Eve a little kind of play mat thing today, Its like a flower shape and the petals have touchy feely things for her to, touch and feel, There's like a rodeo thing in the middle that you lay her face-down on and she can use her arms to spin around and build up her strength and coordination ready for toddling, she's so funny on it.

| We did an off season thing on a Knights forum a few years ago that was hugely successful, but it was a hell of a lot of work for me (organiser and moderator at the time).
It was called 'Knights survivor'
Basically you make a list of all the regular posters and each week you vote people 'off the island' based on weekly tasks.
The tasks can be to write a limerick about another poster, play an online game and post a 'screen shot' of your highest score (usually anyone who plays is safe and only the non players face the vote), answer a trivia quiz, etc etc.
You have to have voting by PM because tech savy people can vote in a poll multiple times, and PM boxes go into meltdown as people form aliances etc.
People won't put themselves forward to play, so you just make a list of regular posters, and it doesn't hurt to have a bunch of trolls in the list for everyone to hate on.
It's a lot of fun, but whoever is the organiser has to be respected and is in for a lot of work, and because everyone tries to cheat, the organiser has to make final decisions, no correspondence entered into.

Oh, it wouldn't work - it'd be a disaster. But an amusing one hopefully.
You know the sort of thing...
Across The Sea of Grief, over The Whitemist Mountains, beyond the The Retail Park of H'rnagh, amidst the ruins of a once great civilization is the tomb of the legendary warrior-Magarch Maiava the Magnificent...
Punk Ogre Minstrels, dead-eyed tobacco chewing sociopathic gnome assassins and so on.

That might work. Not sure an eliminator works best - bit cack if you're out in week one (says the king of the golden duck). We could do a league or Rovers vs FC. Predict the scores in the Belgian football league second division one week, solve a puzzle the next and so on.

All the 'popular' people get voted out early, because they are 'threats' - which pretty much means they become kingmakers in the aliances. It works out pretty well.
The best part is the thread after it is over where everyone reveals all the dirty tricks they played, and what dirty tricks were played on them.

| I still chew my feet.
Just watched two rubbish films.
London Boulevard, looked good, was useless.
A rom com, (this is how Ms. Terrorist extracts her revenge for having me in her life) "No Strings" terrible film, and I cried at the end.
If I had a gun. I. Would. Shoot. M. Y. S. E. L. F.

I would nominate Anaconda, and the remake of Get Carter in that catagory.
(If you have had the misfortune to see Anaconda there is one scene where the boat on the river has to reverse, and if you look the waterfall is going upwards.)

Anaconda is bad before it starts though, you know what you're going to get there. "London Boulevard" purported to be good. It's got Farrell (like him, he's doing an impression of me in all his films, clearly) Winstone and Knightley in. They can act. But the sum of this is horrid. I've had to pluck out my eyes and that smarted.

| Has anyone seen Contagion? Looks quite good.
Whatever happened to the 70s disaster movie genre? Towering Inferno, Poseidon Adventure, plane crashes, cablecars, sharks. Just a quick scan of the opening cast and place your bets on who dies in what order. Smashing.

Did you know that Steve McQueen in Towering Inferno counted his lines to make sure Paul Newman didn`t have more than him?
FACT.

| Going to see Contagion today. Worst film ever in the history of terrible films that make you want to cry, they are so bad, has to be Battlefield Earth. The film that finally convinced the world that John Travolta should stick to flying his planes.
