Actually it's critical. If you can't fit him under the cap, he doesn't have a job. If he doesn't have a job, he won't get a working visa. |

So how does this work out then, You need to have him registered with the RFL to officailly employ him although you can't register him with the RFL unless he has a visa, yet you can't get him a visa unless he's registered with the RFL.  |

I can get a working Visa for Austrailia without have an actual job.... Maybe its the same.

On the subject of Joel, If and when he does pull on the famous red and white shirt what are we all expecting from him?
He hasn't played for a while and it will be a new country and a new set of team mates so I think it could well be a few months after playing his first game that we see what we actually have.

The thread is not derailing, visa applications are being discussed with examples provided, updates from the media are getting added every-day which are then been discussed

He doesn't need a visa to be registered with the RFL. He just needs a valid contract and space on the cap.
