I'm guessing that would be Wes, rather than Kevin?

That's the guy.
The person who told me seems to know his stuff to be fair, although not the most exciting rumours I've ever heard. I'm hoping he'll say we've
He told me a week or so ago about McShane signing for Widnes, which I duly broke on the Leeds board a couple of days before it being announced. It made me feel special, very special.
As MR said, he'll certainly be a project (if it's true).

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Possibly, just remember it saying he'd made up for his poor defence with a try.

Christ! that would be the end of this forum, it's only the thread drift that keeps it going. A bit of RL chat broke out end of last week, start of this, but normal service has soon been resumed.

| I heard gollum talking to Hudge before the match last night, and Hudge reaffirmed the clubs new signing policy with what I took to be a broadside to players seeking inflated contract renewals. Hudge remarked, players with a contract value of £30-£35 thousand are demanding £70-80 thousand.
It got me thinking about contract values and what is a reasonable one for the OOC players at Rovers?
What is Lovegrove, Murrell, Hall and Galea worth?
There's some very tough decisions to be made!

Without knowing what value players at other clubs of similar standing are on it's hard to tell. Galea warrants another deal and as he gets older you'd expect his value to start to dip a little. Lovegrove and Hall for me would get a 10% increase on current deals and Murrell would be offered a year deal on similar money. That would be the starting point of negotiations for me.
Jungle drums already suggest Hall has agreed a new two year deal.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

The same was said a few years ago.
Out of the four players you've mentioned Lovegrove would/should be after the highest increase, with the form he's been in he might be able to double his money at another club.

I've heard the same about Craig - fingers crossed!
I think Rhys warrants a 2yr deal as well, although he has been on annual renewals since he arrived! Newts let it slip last year Rhys is on a low-value contract. Whether this equates to Hudge's figure of £30-35,000 I have no idea? However, if this is the case then a hike of 50% wouldn't be out of the question IMO.
I agree with you about Scott.
Benny G is a different kettle of fish. He took a reduction at the last round of contract talks and by my reckoning will be seeking a similar figure for next season. I would be surprised if he is on less than circa £90K.

Can't get more definitive on this alledged signing policy surely?
Quote: Paul T - HKR "Quote: Paul T - HKR "The rumour is the club will now pay NO player anymore than 70k a year. Whilst the club has to look after its future, us fans will probably have to endure several seasons of bottom 6 obscurity. This will have a massive effect on people coming through the turnstiles, hence less money coming into the club. We havent had over 8k this season whilst over the last few seasons we have achieved this on a regular basis. Its a viscious circle, a very viscious circle indeed!! Yes we have to bring the local lads through and we are doing this now, but we also need the experience to bring these lads through!!!'"
I will categorically NOT get into a debate about salary or any individuals contracts but this comment is complete NONSENSE.
Rather than debating how terrible it may be to have to run the business prudently turn that energy to solutions for the longer term please.'"
