Tough decision, what breed is it ? is there a behavioural problem with the dog or is it just not working out ?

He's a Sprocker Spaniel (Springer x Cocker). Hubby has just started working away Mon-Fri, Iv'e taken on extra hours at work, he's on his own alot of the time now, it's just not fair on him.

I just don't have enough hours in the day between work, school runs, karate & Diddy Dockers to exercise him properly. I pay the ginger kid next door to walk him Mon-Fi for me, , then we take him out with us on a weekend, but it's not enough really. I've been kidding myself thats he's fine, but he's not.



Feel really bad.

It's sad when u have to get rid of a pet when I worked at the prison 13 hour shifts and my other half worked away my sis in law got our spanador wr moved I tuk less hours and now we got a chocci spanador feel for ya tho

Tough decision but the right one, would have been easier just to stick with the status quo.



I'd love a dog but realistically we're both out from 8.30am until 6pm and even if i got one of those dog walkers in during the middle of the day I don't think it would be fair.

I've had a guy ring this afternoon, he's prepared to come up from Norfolk for him. He's given me his postcode so I Google Earth his address, looks like an old farm house with plenty of space around. I put £80 in the ad only to put every Tom, Dick & Harry off, people will have owt for nowt. I've told him if he's really serious, he can have him for nothing.



Anyway enough moping.



When I was a child I wanted be called Jemima, I told everyone it was my middle name. Not sure why?

My Mum wanted to call me Debbie-Ann Agnes, but my dad wouldn't allow it & if I had been a boy I would have been a Darren.

When me and the ex split up i ended up having to give my dog up because i couldnt commit the time to look after him properly.

I know which one i was more upset to lose.

Right back to moping & now panicking.



My friend has just Emailed me telling me to be careful who I sell/give the dog to. Apparantley there are a some low lifes buying family pets & using them as "bait dogs" for dog fighting.

U do have to be real careful who u hand em over to is it a lively dog

Cos if it is it will be a buggar to get on the hook.

Don`t tell me,you called it Rover.

He is, he's only 1 & full of energy. He does settle really well after a walk & on an evening. He has a dangley toy teddy thing and at 10pm every night he picks it up and stands looking at me as if to say, "come on, it's bed time".

Sadly this is correct, some right saddos out there...I recommend you ring some of the dog societies/RSPCA..tell them your situation, as the dog is a popular breed it is more than likely he/she will be re-homed to a suitable vetted family, this will also give you peace of mind.
