While were at it, get a notice on the East Stand turnstiles along the lines of - dont boo asa barham red and stan whats his face dont like it.
Oh yeah, nearly forgot Jake the Fleg is a big fat dildo.'"
Not saying you accept every decision, just drop the victim tag. Not every decision is a personal attack on us, it's a wonder we win any matches as the refs are so biased.

| just on the gardner one, we were more or less in line with it and we all thought straight away it was out, it was only when i watch the re-run that i saw it wasn't, so you can hardly blame the TJ for making a split second decision.
and as has been stated above it was the VR that gave the worst call of the night with the obstruction, even though the grounding would have been touch & go.
don't forget that you scored your first try off the back of a wrong call and gardner's try could have gone either way on another day or without the screen.
every club gets wrong calls against us, we have had 3 games go against us this year on perceived wrong calls, the officials don't go out to cheat a club, they, like players make mistakes, it's not nice when it seems those mistakes cost you but that's life.
as for thursday, the booing, jeering and crying was embarrassing and laughable, you fans are so much better when you get behind your team rather than whingeing for a penalty every set.

| It's times like this I miss the blissful, comfortable days of a youthful Stanley Gene charging onto a Mike Fletcher kick-through for another hat-trick and win. lol.

And your fans would be so much better if they actually travelled to away games to support your boys. :'( He he. What is there going on in Hudds on a Thursday?

| Why didn't teams ever cotton on to what Fletcher was doing we must have done that kick from the scrum for Stan to chase every game and 9 times out of 10 it worked

| Seems Neil Hudgell has been reading these posts, drawing a line in the sand regards complaining and just get on with. Its about time the east stand get behind the team again and make it daunting for away teams.

| Seems to still be saying everyone is out to get you but he'll take it on the chin from now on. Do any rovers fans genuinely believe that there is some ref/rfl conspiracy against you and overall you get worse calls against you than any other team?

| The only things I can think of Frankie is that of course half the opposition team was still pre-occupied with the breaking scrum, Stanley was unbelievably fast for a scrum-half / stand-off, and Rovers just had vastly superior timing and experience to the other teams (hence we won the old Division 2 two years running IIRC).

NO we do not every team has the same but the refs are rubbish, no matter what game you watch I bet you can pick faults with the ref but till we get some better refs we have to grin and bear it and hope the idiots in the stands shut up

| It will still take some time for the core east standers to cool off blaming the officials but Neil has now led the way.
FWIW The luck of the bounce of the ball against gardner, a loose pass a metre from their line and Hall's regular 1 knock on at an important moment lost us the game.
Obstruction rule IS still stupid the way its used at thd moment though. The most embarrassing game for this was Cas vs Wigan (the cup game I think) that was televised. The rule is destroying free flowing moves at the mo.

I agree, ref standards are poor, but they're humans, don't have eyes in the backs of their heads and can only rule on what they see. A ref makes hundreds, probably thousands of decisions in a game and the vast majority are right. I don't think we'll ever get away from human error but hopefully we'll move to 2 refs from next season which works well in the NRL and games are much more open with teams being kept apart and the rucks being policed effectively.
I don't believe that refs are biased, just incompetent

Actually, what is ruining the game is opposition teams running into defenders and taking them out of the game on most plays near the opposition line. There's no skill in getting in a defender's way allowing someone to score off the back of it. I agree some are marginal but taking out defenders is against the rules and I hope the clampdown deals with it.

Totally agree, the coaches are much more to blame for ills of the game than the refs. The game is getting away from its original skills and becoming more like American Football by the season.
The coaches instruct players to deliberately run into the oppositions line , its the coaches that instruct players to put their hands on the ball and mess about in the tackles, its the coaches who instruct players to apply pressure to attackers whilst getting off a tackle, its the coaches who practice and preach wrestling the opponent rather than good tackling technique...
All this out the back play and the 10m rule meaning the need to slow down the play the ball is making the game ugly in the majority of instances...
