And it's sod all to do with whether he's my favourite player or not. Dobson isn't my favourite player, but he's a bloody good one and one I respect for the way he plays the game. Burns, on the other hand, is a grubby cheap shot merchant who has form on both sides of the world for (deliberately, in at least one high profile case) tackling in a way that might cause injury to others. So, if I make a reference to his 'tackling' technique whilst not seeming to care an awful lot about his injury, I really don't think that constitues 'rock bottom', do you?'"
No problem with banter and 'ripping' players for having a stinker etc, I draw the line at being seemingly happy a player got injured. Can't think of any player I would wish this on.
Would you be as happy say if James Graham got his teeth knocked out or if Heramaia suffered a neck injury ar is only HKR players that your bothered about.

I'm neither happy nor unhappy about Burns' injury. I do think there's a certain amount of karma involved, but that's about it. I'd feel the same if Graham had his teeth knocked out, probably. If you go around deliberately taking actions likely to injure others, there's unlikely to be much sympathy when you're injured yourself. Some people, myself included, might even make crap jokes about it. It's nowt he doesn't deserve, and like I said, he's broken his arm - it's not like I'm making jokes about Saville's sex abuse victims, or whatever.
On Heremaia, I don't think he's a dirty player, so I wouldn't feel the same about him.

Which Hull players do you think are dirty and deserving of some karmic comeuppance?

Not sure we've got anyone like that. We have a few penalty machines, but that's usually for daft stuff like laying on and hands in the ruck.

You can't say that Jake, they'll accuse you of living in the past. They, of course, don't do that!!!!

Gormers gonna gorm. Hull fans had done similar to Shaun Briscoe and so on back for more than a century no doubt.
But y'know if you're going to have that as your guilty pleasure, then whatever flicks your switch. It is the karma thing, with its attempt to retain some sort of Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells outraged moral high ground, that is cackamala. Better, or more honest at least, to embrace your inner wazzack
At least RGX has done it under a nom de plume - unlike Phil Clarke.

You're right, anything that weakens you when we might be playing you in little over a week is OK by me

Amazing how people have now jumped so morally high as regards players and injury. Crikey.
If Yeaman was injured in a game, you'd be mopping up "creme" from the east stand for about 6 months.
Oh and there is difference between actively wishing someone gets hurt, to not being bothered that they have been injured after the event, or being glad as it means they do not face your team.
Some RL fans and not attributed to rovers only, need to get a serious grip.

What you talking about?
I didn't mention his injury, I'm pointing out the fact that many are saying Burns is rubbish and the team is better without him, so I was questioning Jake in how our team are weakened without Burns.
Anyway, I'm not fussed on an answer, it'll be balls anyway. We all know (or have a good idea) what Jake was doing with his extra leg. Dirty man.
