He can play the home sick card , we didnt get zip for mckinnon and he was on contract but time will tell I suppose

He was actually released from the last year of his North Queensland contract to join Rovers after the Cowboys had farmed him out to country rugby and had no offers in the NRL..

Think the fact that he is now immediately chasing the bucks after a few good games against inferior opposition tells us everything...

More to the point why do apparently sane people think that a RL player would turn down an offer of more money to play in the best competition in the sport in a great country with fabulous weather , with a massive profile and associated benefits to come and play here..??? They come for more money than they can still get at home and no other reason...

Unfortunately i dont have the article to hand but i can assure you, it is not a made up assertion, i leave those to people like yourself.
It was in Australia at the time and in a sports column where it was written along the lines off, certain things had made him realize that money was not always the most important factor in life.
I believe he was refering to some of the personal issues that he'd had to contend with which had effected him on and off the field and his faith which had helped him come through it.
