| If its a money issue, it's a money issue.
If it's about personalities (Howes and Hudgell), better to hold your nose and work around it if you can.
Which deal are we supposedly annoyed about? there was a rumour of an issue even before the Watts deal on t'other board, iirc. Lovegrove and Salter have both re-signed from the Howes stable though, so presumably there is some scope for striking deals still.
Speculating wildly, but my next best guess would be Gentle. That's an alternative RLfans universe I'd like to see.

See, there you go again, taking something wrongly.
I'm not suggesting Pearson will invest £10m, I'm saying that £10m in RL basically means money is of no object. Pearson made a lot more than that selling City and his business before that.

| Quote: gingerspice "And he wants 15,000 to make it a viable business I can see why he's doing what he's doing I'm just saying bet he still may not get that attendance as with us and 10,000 it ain't gonna happen IMO but I am wrong loads of times
10,000 is possible IMO, but it's vital that the North Stand is built asap.
A complete North Stand will atleast mean that Craven Park is capable of holding 10,000 (if demand is there).
IMO, the most vital thing to come out of the new stand is the potential coporate revenue it'll hopefully generate. Obviously companies are holding back at the moment, but the recession won't last forever and when the economy picks up, we'll have the facilities to make the most out of it, which we don't have now.
Whilst football is a completly different kettle of fish, all the big clubs are looking at ways to increase corporate revenue (mainly following the huge increase in revenue Arsenal saw when they moved stadium). Liverpool & Chelsea are looking to emulate that & even Leeds Utd have recently invested in Elland Road, reducing seating capacity to build more boxes.

| I think Scott Taylor has looked a bit jaded recently. He's played a lot of games and gone from a great impact player off the bench earlier in the season to more or less being asked to lead our pack in some games. Tall order for an up and coming player. It would be nice to think we could still call on the likes of Watts and Wheeldon but it's now where Beaumont/Green have to be phased in.
Like many HKR/HDM exclusives there's not much to it, but following on from our chairman's programme notes - it's clear that this is heading towards bad blood between club/agent - thus eventually Taylor. As a club (fans/board) possibly losing Scott Taylor will hurt. But if he/agent are gearing up to either work towards an exit or milking the situation for every last penny, as a club we have to do what's right for us. There's no point offering silly amounts of money in order to keep our best young player. Esp if a chunk of that money can be better spent elsewhere (certainly not topping up an Aussie waste of space tho). As Barnapus stated there's also a stark reality that Taylor could be getting too big for our pond for him to reach his maximum potential.
For Taylor, his attitude whilst he's played for us has been first class and I'd doubt anything will change this whilst he's playing @ Rovers. Whatever happens in the future, I'd hate for any Rovers fan to forget this. But having said that, the longer this potentially drags on and in the face of the arrogance displayed from FC fans, I'd bet this would be quickly forgotten. With this, a quick sale may be in our best interests should he have no desire to commit to Rovers.

| Taylor will be gone at the end of 2012. Tickle has also "stalled" or is "not thinking of a new deal yet, I just want to concentrate on this year and my performances"
Literal translation... "See ya, I've got a better offer but can't say anything because of a binding agreement and I don't want the fans to turn on me".
When a player is happy, you hear "I had no problem with signing the contract straight away. I had no intention of moving on. Now I just want to concentrate on my rugby and want to repay the faith the coach has in me" etc etc.

Well, I do know that Hudgells program notes last week were an indication that he's spat his dummy into orbit with Howes. I'd also lay odds that Howes has seen this and left an anonymous message on the Hull Daily Mail answerphone.
Still, what does a porcine-featured winker like me know?
I love pork, me.

| Scott's attitude & commitment to Rovers cause while he's still a Rovers player should never be questioned.
As I said earlier, if he wants to play for FC he will. But I don't think he does.

| It does seem Taylor is a very popular person in Hull and must have a lot of friends as everyone seems to know what he wants to do beyond this season.
