Key things for me today,

We defended very well
We didn't let you near our 20m line
We stopped Dobson playing for once
We played patiently and opened up in the last 20 mins
We got the bounce of the ball today, e.g. Hall into touch, Turner's first try
Radford's try and the Rovers's player collison before half time tunred the course of the game
You missed Morgan, getting you 'up' for the Derby. We didn't miss Agar.

Can't disagree with any of that apart from the turning point. All games don't have to have a turning point and I don't think there was one today. You just wore us down with solid defence (when we weren't knocking on) and then punished us. You were good, we were gash.

Let's see if things have changed by the end of May.

Paea, Mika, Wheeldon, Murrell could all do with dropping a stone each and (Clinton) getting fitter IMO. After 55 mins I was shouting "Run at the fat kids!" and we started to, and gaps opened up like the Red Sea.

I thought our attacking options where garbage, I lost count how many times we hit one up or dropped the first man off on our 4th tackle play, thats not even amateur standard. We seemed to lack pace all over the park and our defence come second half was once again a poor.

I think we must put Hall back in at 6 if Green is still not ready, we simply need more options and variety.

The thing that surprised me about your forwards was how easy they seemed to be to control in the tackle because they seemed intent on fighting for extra yardage and neglecting the value of a quick PTB. Is this a constant theme because always though Dobson was the best 7 in the league against a defence that isn't set yet.

Rovers lack of fitness really suprised me yesterday .
The summer season is not yet upon us and they struggled with the pace of the game.

I know Galea is just coming back off an injury and his training will obviously been restricted but he has managed to develop a beer gut. I'm surprised about that as he has always struck me as someone who has looked after himself. Just who is the clown in charge of conditioning because there were players walking around after 30 minutes? The dobbins collapse had little do with lack of passion as some of their fans think but simply exhaustion - all the effort in the world won't be enough if you are physically incapable.

Forget I said that, please keep your conditioning and fitness team in place, indeed give them 10 year contracts.

For me, the most impressive aspect of Hulls performance has been the ability of their fans to run this conditioning and fitness gag for so long without anyone sticking the punchline in the back of the net.

We where off the pace in the last 40 by a country mile. The players didn't seem to have the fight in them we've previously seen from Rovers in these derbies. I felt going into the 2nd half our forwards would take the game by the scruff of the neck and we'd take them i the middle how wrong...
