I don't mean the de reregistering debacle that happened last year; I was thinking of any English players that might be available.

Would you, as fans, rather see a SL young fringe player come in or a Champoinship player come in?

Neither.
As a fan.
Would you, as a troll prefer to see us try and bring another Aussie in via the de-registration route? It would give you something other than our 14,000 capacity in 2008 to moan about.

For now, I'd be happy to just use the squad we've got.
If we lost another pivot long-term then you'd have to look again.
If Moore is available, he'd be worth a trial maybe - is he the one that Sheldon was acting as agent for a season or two ago?

Its a tricky one, i see what you mean.
My question was in reference to a young SL fringe player might not be as battle hardened as a Champoinship player

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| But with all due respect to the Championship, for it to be worth it we'd have to be looking at one of the better players and why would any of those teams be willing to loan us on of their best players just before the season starts. As a fan six or seven years ago I'd have been livid if we'd decided to loan The Magic Rat out to say, Castleford a month before kick off. Mainly because we usually only had about half a team a month before kick off. We're not in a position to pay a fee either.

| I know Scott Murrell was elected the fans forum scaegoat for 2012 but is it really necessary for us to be looking at paying to bring a lesser player in when Scott can do a perfectly good job for a few months if not all season, with the option of moving Withers to 6 and Carlile coming in if need be due to injury / form.
Murrell never had a good 2011 but he looked unfit and had been moved from 6 to 13 to 9 back to 13 and then into 7 over the last 3 seasons.
He's a perfectly able 6 alongside a very good 7 in Dobbo, last year he was playing 6 alongside an out of position green at 7 (or vice versa) so it was always difficult.
Give the lad a chance and he'll do a good job.

| I've nothing against using Scotty as short term cover, but if this is a long term lay off, we should either give Bell a shot or if he's deemed not good enough, we should look for someone who is.

| Really feeling for Green at the mo, hope he makes a speedy recovery.
I know a local player who suffered from what he thought was a dead leg, ended up in hospital and diagnosed with a blood clot in the leg, nearly lost his life because of it.
Murrell would be my first choice for now but if CS wants to go for a big 17 he could easily put in Galea at 6, we know he can do a good solid job in the role.

Bell is miles behind Murrell and isn;t ready for first team rugby. The problem we'd have is a championship 6 would probably be no better than Murrell so why pay and risk it. An established 6 would cost a fair bit of cash even if you could find one. Got to asj the question, if a 6 who is that good is available, then why are they available??
