can you tell me how many good performances fc have actually put together worthy of taking them to ot.
because to be frank i have not seen anything good enough to get you their.
just the same as i have seen nothing from us that would get us their.
1st half of the season we was very poor and inconsistent, but since we have become a tad more consistent our position and game has improved and we have climbed.
fc started the season well and have since been inconsistent and not really looking like improving that much.
i know you will blame this on your injuries etc but we each have to play with the cards we are dealt

Your right about the injuries though that's sport, it's how you over come them.

the only people that argue that you should be higher is the arrogant fans that are amongst you who believe that you have a god given right to be a top team just because you get an average of around 12k attendance a week.

neither hull team are good enough to be considered a top team as both are still far too inconsistent, i`m just not too blinkered to not see this.

Nothing to do with the crowd but the fact were full of internationals.

Were obviously not hitting our top form as individuals and as a team.

when at all have you hit top form at all this season?
if you are honest you will say NEVER, so this means
1 your team is not as good as you think it is
2 your coach is not as good as you think he is or should be for a top team.
3 your internationals are not as good as you think they are
being past internationals does not allways mean they are good for a team or a good player.
who are your current internationals? (ie played for a national team recently)

They must have shown for to be a international, they aren't hitting the form that their capable of.

That must easily be your biggest achievement since Rovers were promoted to Super League then....make the most of it, there's still some games to go.

Putting aside who the opposition was, Wigan were brilliant last night and I doubt most teams would have faired better than Hull did, however it was lovely to see them smacked so hard at home and the 'faithful' doing the early walk

And there we have it. The issue for both teams IMO is that I think that Wigan and Warrington and really stretching ahead of the opposition (money talks - Lenegan and Moran are in a different league financially to other backers and both now have top class coaches in place), and with Leeds not far behind our chances of winning anything would have to seem remote without a spectacularly lucky Challenge Cup draw.

FC are financially self-sustaining now but we choose not spend on a top class coach and have a random and short termist recruitment policy - our academy is OK but recruitment in the open market has been poor for 5 years. We have an opportunity to sort a lot of this out next year as we have all our quota players OOC apart from O'Meley who's been a great signing anyway, but I'd like to bet now it will be a disappointment.

Rovers IMO have done fantastically well to get to where they are, which is pretty much the same position as FC on the pitch. Whether you can kick on to genuinely challenge the top 3 teams on a consistent basis and win some trophies is more debatable.

So the reality at present is that all we have to play for is a derby double.
